Lolly making ( ShadowBane Manor Lou and Thana)

Thana had arrived at her house on Friday afternoon, she had alerted her butler that she wouldn't be alone and was quite ready for the afternoon that would ensue. Her bestie was also going to be there, and Thana couldn't wait. In the middle of the kitchen bench she had a bucket of FANTAILS, and was waiting for her friend.

After a morning of finishing up homework assignments Louise was all too happy, well not happy but relieved to be visiting her best friend and returning to her hobby again. Professor had found her at the start of term and hadn't left her alone since, he'd hide in her sweater during the day and she kept a few pet treats for him to nibble on in her pockets so he'd not go hungry. The floo in Thana's kitchen lit up and out came the little fuzz ball followed by his witch only to jump back onto her sweater and climb onto her shoulder. 

a quick glance around the room and Lou found Thana on the bench and gave a weak smile and wave. "Hey, I hope you don't mind me bringing Professor with me, he's not left me alone since I got back to school."

" Lou !" Thana said as soon as she heard the Floo work, sitting on the bench and waiting . " Of course not, just make sure he doesn't get into the food" she agreed hopping off and hugging her friend. The loss of Lou's arm didnt change the fact that Thana hugged her. " I've missed you" she said to her bestie, being careful not to squish Professor.

Professor let out a shriek and dived into Lou's hair to avoid being smooshed by the two hugging females. He'd never understand human's need to try and squeeze the life out of each other. Louise hugged back as best she could, already feeling miles better than she had all summer. "Glad to see you're all better. I missed you too. So what's on order for Salem? A small box of everything?" She asked, smiling a little more naturally now.

" Big boxes" Thana replied happily , " and a few other special boxes.." She said shyly, deciding if it was time to tell her about Apollo. " So what's new Hun?" She asked her friend, extending her arm to try pat professor and holding out a handful of nuts

"Sounds like fun." she replied, and moved so Professor could snatch the offered nuts, stuffing them in his mouth two at a time then scampering down Lou's jumper. "New? Well I managed to pull of an animagus transformation not too long ago. I've been practising a lot lately. Want to see?" She asked, placing Professor on the mantelpiece where he wouldn't get in the way too much, he knew not to mess around with food unless it was offered or it was on the floor.

" Of course Hun!!!" Thana replied, so her friend had managed to do it. That was brilliant, she put the rest of the bowl of nuts near Professor " You can have them if you wish" she said, jumping back up on the counter and giving Lou space. Not that she really needed to, the kitchen was huge anyway. " It isn't an elephant or anything is it? Otherwise we might have to go outside" she explained smiling.

Louise smiled happily, and waited for Thana to sit back down on the counter before starting her transformation ritual. She just grinned at her friend while focusing on the spell, it took about three minutes or so but after that she shrank down and in her place a little black kitten sat there on the kitchen floor with a fluffy grey chest puffed out in pride. The little three legged thing stood up again and hopped towards her friend, showing off her not so mastered cat strut. Ending up tripping over her front leg several times but she didn't seem too bothered by it.

Thana, very out of character for her actually smiled. A genuine smile, she was indeed very proud of her friend. "Well done Lou" she said to her cat/friend. She simply stood and smiled, waiting for her friend to turn back. "Well it looks like theres something else I am going to have to tell you" she said to her friend. Taking a bite of an apple she had.

The cat sat back down to avoid tripping over again and turned to her friend curiously, flicking her tail back and forth. She would have to wait a few minutes to turn back, she hadn't quite mastered instant transformations yet but was listening to Thana intently while she built up her focus again.

Thana waited and watched as Lou went back to her human form after a few minutes . " Well done , really well done Lou. I am so proud that you managed it!" She said, smiling happily. It was very out of character for her, showing happiness and smiling. She didnt care though, she was proud of her friend.

The young Slytherin stood up (with a little difficulty but managed on her own), brushing off her jeans from where she'd sat on the floor and smiled back. "It took ages to do but it feel good to have done it. Plus I can fall asleep almost anywhere like that." She joked, then took a look around the room again. "So shall we get started? The amount you ordered will take a while to complete, especially if you want the mini cakes."

" Sure, so what do you want me to do boss? I already have the ingredients organized" she said, smiling at Lou and getting off the bench to make sure she was able to do as she was told.

Louise grinned back and got right down to it. She explained her methods of sweet making as they went along, even teaching Thana the sweetening spell she'd used to replace sugar and artificial sweeteners. It wasn't overly complicated but you did need to use something to sweeten, usually fruit juices she'd been using to make the fruit flavoured things. The chocolates were a bit more difficult to sweeten so she went for casting the spell on the cocoa powder then again on the cocoa butter she used. 

Once they began working on the cakes she'd started to struggle a little but not too much. Her hair was coming loose from the ponytail she'd put it in and flour and egg was sticking to her cheeks and apron making her look a little dishevelled.

Thana dutifully did as Lou instructed, fascinated by the way she made her lollies. She watched as Lou started getting slightly dirty, smirking she picked up a bag full of flower she walked to one side of the kitchen and put it in a bucket. Then she walked to Lou, "Hey Lou" she said, watching as her friend turned around before dumping the bucket of flour on her. "Gotcha" she said, quickly ducking to make sure Lou didn't hit her or anything.

Louise had just set the timer for the last batch of fairy cakes when Thana called for her attention. She'd barely turned when a shower of fluffy white covered her vision. "EP! THANA SEMELE!" The young Slytherin shook the flour out of her face and wiped her eyes, scooping a generous amount of flour with it and hurled it like a snowball at her friend, followed up  by running after her.

Thana laughed and ran around the kitchen, getting struck by flour. " LOLLY LOU!" She yelled back, piffing another scoop of flour, while ducking. " Bring it!" She yelled, throwing eggs as well. They were soft so they broke on impact without pain.

Oh it was on! Louise ducked the first egg and skidded around the table, picking up two in one hand and throwing them quick fire, then ducking under the table to avoid incoming fire. "You are so dead!" She giggled and came barrelling out from her hiding place, dashing for the nearest bag of flour.

" Your going to have to wait!! There's already a line for that" Thana called back, being fair and only using one hand. She threw more eggs and got hit by them back as well as flour . Not noticing Lafayette until she hit him with an egg. " What are you doing ?" He asked, egg all over his hand. " Lafayette your up, and before dark. Why?" She asked, " Oh Lou , this is a dear friend of mine . Lafayette , Lafayettethis is Lou . The human I was telling you about " she explained, introducing them both.

. " It is a pleasure to meet you Madam Grey, I have heard so much about you, and in answer to your question Thana. A vampire can't sleep through teenage ruckus" Lafayette replied, letting a yawn cross his beautiful face .  Thana couldn't help but bite her bottom lip, he was beautiful and had the looks of a rock god, which was perfect since he was. And there... There stood Lou and herself covered in eggs and flour. It would of been a wonderful sight Thana was sure .

So close! Louise had just gotten tot he counter when Thana called someone else's name, she turned around and dropped the bag of flour back down on the counter, immediately, putting her hand behind her back looking like a kid caught stealing cookies. Bugger! "Hello." She gave Thana a brief glare, then looked back at Lestat, not really sure how to react, she could imagine Miss Sheridan scolding her for weeks about being caught seen like this. She'd never gotten so messy, even as a kid. She must look a right mess, she tried in vain to tame her hair and wipe egg off her face and clothes but only made it worse. "Sorry for waking you up sir."

" It is quite alright Miss Grey, to see Thana's and your smiling faces make up for it. I would of had to get up soon anyway, but I am glad you are having fun." Lafayette replied, smiling so his fangs didn't show. " I am going out for the day girls, well day for myself anyway. I shan't be back till early morn' so don't wait up for me Thana" he instructed, before winking at Lou. " I am sure we will meet again madam, and don't call me Sir, Lafayette will do just fine" Lestat kindly informed Lou, he had no place for titles and thought it refreshing to have a new face to talk with. " I bid you two good evening, oh and Thana, that was for getting me" Lestat said, crushing a handful of eggs on Thana's head before flitting away into the night.

Thana couldn't help but stand happily shocked, and covered in egg yolk. One look at Lou and she could tell it was far from over, happily Thana picked up a bucket of sugar and dumped it on Lou.

Lou's face slowly became redder and redder, she was sure by the time Lestat left she'd have cooked a pancake on her face. She squeaked a hasty "Ok." and then "bye" when he left, trying not to laugh when he gave Thana an eggy shampooing. She couldn't hold it in for long and was giggling madly until she got doused in sugar. "Oi!" She tackled her friend , making sure to get as much sugar, flour and egg over her as possible.

Thana heard Lou milliseconds before being tackled, and covered in flour, eggs, sugar and lollies from head to toe. No part of her wasn't covered in food of some description. " Oomph, alright you win the food fight. For now" Thana conceded , a plan already forming in her mind. " We should probably get cleaned up, the proper food should be ready soon " Thana mentioned, indicating to herself and Lou. They both looked a cross between white ghosts with bumps and rainbow chicken pox. " Come on, we don't want to rise like cakes" she said, walking around to one part of the kitchen where a bucket of water lay just out if sight. Her plan was quick and simple , dump the bucket of water on Lou. " Ooh have you seen yourself in cat form covered in flour? You would be all white " Thana suggested.

Louise was still giggling when Thana suggested they clean up. "You're right, As much as I love cake smelling like one isn't as nice as you'd think." She got up and gave her friend an odd look, then looked down at herself. She paused then spent a few minutes shifting into her cat form and indeed looked mostly white, but with clumps of batter all over her fur. "Mew." She said, though was trying to say 'Ew.'

" NAWW adorable.. But revenge is a dish best served cold" Thana said, picking up the bucket that she had on this floor and turning to Lou as her cat form and dumping it on her . " Payback" she said, watching as her friend in cat form got drenched. While she had done it to make their harmless game even , she also got rid of the eggs, flour, lollies and sugar. Not that a cat even a human as a cat would like being wet by a bucket of water too much.
