Tibetan Training ( Thana and Shifué )

Thana decided to take a few days to reground herself, the past few weeks had been stressful . Too stressful, between her fight with Lucas and preparing for her new school, and worrying about turning 17 she had no time to herself. Thinking of only one place she could go, Thana got a muggle plane ticket from England to Tibet, then a bus to an outlying village before starting her climb to the top of Monastery Mountain.

A long forgotten Monastery sat atop the Mountain , and it was there that she found her old mentor training some new recruits. Knowing better than to interrupt she merely went to the temple, not to pray but to meditate. Her mentor would be a while, from the sounds of his shouting and words. She smiled softly and sat down, after lighting a stick of incense and starting trying to calm her mind.

Shifue had been training his newest recruits, yelling at them for being pathetic. He wasn't known for being kind, he was strict and demanded excellence. He sensed a familiar person approaching, grimly he smiled at his newest students. The person that walked past knew better than to interrupt his training, "Right you lot! Finish up the pushups, then do the West Climb!" he called out, But that's over twenty miles! one of the students complained. "Good, and because you spoke out you can all do it twice, NOW GO!" Shifue barked at them, watching happily as they prepared themselves for pain.

Shifue walked to the Temple, noticing the person in the middle. He lit a stick of incense and stood next to her, waiting for her to acknowledge him. "We have a lot to discuss young one" he said softly as she got up and followed him out. Yes Master came Thana's reply. Together they walked to a training arena, there was never time for sitting with him. Something Thana had learned at a young age, she was his best student. One who never asked why he wanted something done, but did as he asked.

"Yes master" Thana replied, getting up to follow her Mentor out. They had a relationship built on years of training, something that hadn't been easy for either of them. Together they walked to a training arena, Shifue wouldn't be giving her a break. Regardless of pain or injury, pain was only momentary. The training was for life, or so Shifue explained. They stood in silence for a few minutes, each preparing to attack and defend. Shifue started first, coming at her, not only was this a sign of the training beginning, but also his sign that they could talk. Thana didn't mention anything about her injury, Shifue didn't want to hear it. "I have found several new Fratis Thana informed her Mentor. "I have been training a few of them, there is a few however I think would benefit more from your help Master" she explained, "and I am attending Salem next year"

Why did you change? came her Mentor's question, Thana didn't answer at first. She didn't have to, You know doing something out of feelings is never right Shifue said, Thana knew he was right. Which didn't help, she didn't argue with him. She knew he was right, but it was too late now. "It doesn't matter anyway, Its not the only reason I left. I had other reasons, I have a feeling that its where I should be" she said to him.

Days passed, Thana stayed at the Temple for a week. She trained with her mentor, and with the other students. Her mind cleared and she was ready to go back to her somewhat normal life, on her last night of training a feast was thrown in her Honour. She wouldn't be there for her birthday, but Shifue and the other elders wanted her to enjoy it anyway. Several gifts were bestowed upon her, she was granted full Master. Meaning she could officially train her own students, but the one that meant more to her than anything was when Shifue took her aside out of sight of everyone and hugged her. Calling her the daughter he never had. It meant the world to her, something she would always carry with her. Finally she was ready to go back to England, to get ready for school.
