The search (Thana)

Thana watched as David jumped to meet her in the air, feeling a sharp pain in her neck. He had gotten a bite in, before they detached and seperated. Thana landed on the ground, keeping her balance, before quickly changing back to human form.

Thana dropped to the ground, her neck was fine ; no worthwhile marks were left. She stayed crouched very low to the ground making sure she was alright. Waiting. Watching. She silently changed back to her wolf form, waiting for David to attack again.

Thana heard David roar, he was inexperienced in fighting anamagi. Thana had that advantage on him. She charged, running full pace at him. They collided, Thana quickly changed back to human to give him a sweeping kick in the guts before returning to the wolf. She growled at him, latching on and tacking him. Pinning him under her, waiting for him to retaliate.

Bombarda!"

Thana got blown into the air, then tackled by the cheat! It really hurt as well, the spell. She had teeth at her throat, and wasn't allowed to move, so she couldn't block the pain. He had used magic so she would use hers. She changed back to human, the lions teeth still at her throat.

She pulled her hands up and grabbed his mane, latching on and pulling hard at his throat. She squeezed, then pushed. Her survival instincts kicking in. She gave a "low blow" to get the lion  off her and rolled out from under him.  Flipping in human form she landed herself, then she summoned her Isolde. She had her blue orb in her hand aimed at the lion. Ready to use if necessary.

Then the pain kicked in. "ENOUGH!" she called, crouching. Her heart was in overdrive, it had healed but still caused large amounts of pain. Especially since she had just been bombarded. She clutched where the scar was on her chest, breathing heavily. The spasms kept going, Thana was practically doubled over in pain.

"Thana, whats wrong. What can I do?"

Thana felt his warm hand on her cheek, she shook her head. "Nothing...." she replied clutching her chest still. The spasm waves were still there, she was out of breath. "It..its from the attack, A BlackWidow speared my heart. It healed........but...ah!......It still hurts" She explained. She was grabbing the ground with her hand, digging it in.

Finally the pain subsided, Thana's breaths came more regularly. She stayed where she was though, not daring to move yet. "This is why I have to repeat, I won't be able to deal with the stress of the final year and controlling the spasms"

"I'm sorry for making you fight.. you obviously were not up to it."

Thana shook her head, after he pressed his to hers. "No its alright, I wanted to. I knew what might happen" she replied.

"I guess you have to take the win for that.. even though I totally kicked your butt"

"No way in hell, using your wand doesn't count. Lets call it a tie, for now" Thana responded, "You haven't been in many animagi fights have you?" she asked. Her breathing was better, she stayed sitting. The spasms stopped completely, Thana sat. Watching David give a cheeky smile. She shook her head, "typical" she thought.

"Not too smart for a ravenclaw prefect, is it?

"Not when she was supposed to be a Slytherin" Thana replied, it was true. "technically changing at all shouldn't count, so I should win anyway cause I was owning you."
"No, using your ability means being able to change between them, and using your human and animal side. Besides , I got training from a specialist. Therefor, I just know more than you about morphing" She answered.

Upon his answer of his knowing animagi, Thana shrugged. "Well it seems you know one now, and you weren't "totally beating me" Dogs always beat Cats. " Thana replied, "So whats it like being an Auror and an Animagus? Does your boss know?"

"Well Sytherin's are typically whiners so it still doesn't fit your profile"

"I'm not a whiner!" Thana replied, punching David hard in the arm. "Ah, but we agreed on an animal battle , not animagi battle, so still invalid. And considering i did more than hold my own against you.. i would say your training lacked."   "Whatever you think" she answered.

 "To be frank so far it isn't that fun. Sure both Clement and Holmes know of my power. Holmes as witnessed it for himself, and Clement as heard about it. in my only on the field experience, Clement wanted me in human form..so I have yet to use it on the job."

Thana chuckled slightly, "Holmes. He is an interesting guy, I'll give him that. So what brings you out to the middle of nowhere anyway?" Thana asked, wondering why he was out here in the first place.

"Its personal and I would rather be anywhere else


" Your welcome for the punch" Thana replied " that's for bombarding me, and don't worry. I know personal reasons. I understand. If you ever want to talk though, I am a good listener." She offered. " ...my foot has gone to sleep" Thana noticed out loud, trying to get it to not tingle.

"I guess it doesn't really matter. Well when I was 15, my mother was murdered right in front of me.. and when i was young, my father was murdered in battle. Both by the same women. Well.. I finally found her the other day. Now I am helping her find the man who murdered her father."


Thana sighed softly, her and David had more in common than he knew. She did something very unlike her, she put her hand on his. Moreso out of friendship than anything, she knew how that felt. "Unlike most people I do understand David...I really do" she told him. Squeezing his hand.

Forgive my bluntness.. but how? Have you met the person who murdered your parents.. and instead of killing them like they deserve and like you so want to do, you agree to help them with their own quest. All because of your Auror honor to protect the innocent.. like her younger sister?"

"Yes and yes. My parents were both murdered in front of me when I was ten. Simply because of who I was. Then the man that did it adopted me, forced me to become a weapon of evil. I had to obey him otherwise he would hurt others" Thana replied.

"My past is a lot darker than what most people could understand. I'm not from this time..When I found out my father was killed I was confused. For so long it had been all I knew, now I am being trained to defend against the very things I learnt to do. It's something you would hate me for if you knew" Thana said simply.

"Would you explain, I promise i won't hate you. i'm in no place to judge right from wrong."


"Its difficult to explain....The Ministry had me put in some sort of a cyro chamber...It froze my body and mind, kept it in stasis. My father.......was known as........Tom Riddle" Thana said, hating having to tell her story. "I...I was his adopted daughter" She said....instantly wishing she was somewhere else. "He took me because of the blue thing I can do...He made me use it as a destructive force..and made me turn into an animagi. He used dark magic to do it" Thana explained, not daring to look David in the eye.

She had never told anyone the full detail of what had gone on, not even Lucas or Shifue. It was something she was embarrassed and ashamed of. She hated that she was the one forced to live with the memory. Luckily that was all it was to her now, a reoccurring memory. One that haunted her. One that would always haunt her.
