Basking In The Sun (Lucius)(CLOSED)

Marek lay in the meadow by a tree in his clothes he wore. The only thing different was his shirt was off and laying on a branch. Marek had come to tan and enjoy the beautiful day outside. He lay there basking in the sun with just his khaki shorts on and pair of sunglasses.

As he lay there his mind wandered to how school was going ao far. Marek had done well so far and he kept thinking about the cute guy he had met awhile ago. Since then Marek had actually opened up more. There was a mysterious air about the boy and Marek loved it. He was afraid to say anything for fear of the boy not being gay or rejecting him.

Lucius walked outside, admiring a necklace he had stolen off a random girl in the hallway who was stupid enough to flirt with him and let herself get distracted. The stones were real. Emeralds embedded in silver. It was a locket. Oval shaped. Looked relatively old, so it was probably an heirloom. Lucius had really outdone himself with this one. He was indeed quite proud of himself. Suddenly, Lucius felt a presence other than his own and froze briefly, looking in all directions, to figure out who, or what, was watching him.

Finally he looked up, and smiled, seeing as that it was only Marek. Lucius let out a small sigh and pulled out the age old itallian accent he'd perfected years ago "Hey Marek!" Lucius called up the tree "what on-a earth are you doing up there?"

Marek looked down as the young man he'd been thinking of walked under the very tree he was in. of all the trees he picked this one to walk under and Marek didn't mind that one bit.. Yawning he stretched and pulled his sunglasses up onto the top of his head.

Smiling he said, "Enjoying the weather. Wonderful day to catch some sun if I do say so. I was actually thinking about taking a swim too." He then grabbed his shirt and hopped out of the tree. Throwing it over his shoulder he looked back to Lucius. "Care to join me?" he asked standing there waiting.

Lucius stepped back, half smiling as his heart sped up when Marek jumped down from the tree "Oh swimming...uh...we...i dunno...i dont very much enjoy...uh...the wetness...of the water...on my uh...face...." Lucius lied quickly.Truth was, he never learned to swim. His parents never took the time to teach him things like swimming, riding bikes, climbing trees, and normal little boy things. He just learned how to steal and get away scott-free. Nothing more, nothing less. Lucius blushed looking down at the ground, trying to hide his embarrassment, to little success.

Marek didn’t know why but the way the kid acted made him feel more confidant then usual. He could open up more and not act so shy. He thought for a moment as Lucius stood there obviously taken aback by the request and acting a bit timid which was cute.

“It’s okay I don’t bite you know and the water is nice I hear. C'mon and have some fun. It can’t hurt can it” he said smiling. He found it amusing but wanted to see if the boy would own up to being scared or not because the only people he knew that didn’t like water were scared of it.

Lucius sighed inwardly. He was not going to admit he couildnt swim and was scared to try. Shelbies didn't know fear. Fear wasnt a word that had a definition in their family. Being scared was for the weak, and that was one thing Lucius would never be. He slid his shirt off, revealing his thinly muscular chest and let out a sighe "All right then marek...let's get this done and overwith so i can go nap or something..." Lucius walked into the water and waded out to his waste, silently freaking out. Okay, now he would do it. he plunged forward and felt a rush in his head. Was he doing it? Wait...No! No he was sinking! Lucius struggled to pull himself up, but slowly, he started to black out, and then, everything was dark.

Marek could tell that Lucius wasn't very happy with the idea of swimming and he watched as the boy removed his shirt revealing very lean body. he watched with amusement as the boy treaded the water and shook his head as the boy walked in like he was marching to his death and then he was gone which startled Marek.

Running up to the edge of the bank he looked around and didn't see the kid. Of all the places he'd have to find the drop off he thought. Diving in he swam for a few seconds before spotting him lifeless in the water. Grabbing him he swam back and dragged the kid ashore.

Laying him out he checked for a pulse and started CPR. He hoped Lucius was ok and was die if he'd caused his death.

Lucius coughed, coming to his senses a little. and realized Marek hovering over him. He looked down, sitting up and shaking the water out of his hair. His face turned beat red and he held back tears of stinging embarassment. He really liked Marek a lot and now hed gone and made himself look like a fool. what had happened to him, the once great, emotionless, guiltless theif, had become soft. Lucius shuddered and the tears came. He threw his arms around Marek's shoulders, droping his knees on eaither side of the other boys legs and kissing him passionately on the mouth. It was impulsive. Made him feel normal again. And it felt so right. Marek was perfect, Lucius had never felt love before. It was different.

Marek was glad that the boy was fine but then Lucius did a most unexpected thing. He kiss him. Where had that come from? He knew that he was gay but Lucius couldn't. He was taking a big gamble. Marek could punch him if it had been a wrong move. The fact of the matter was that it was the right move and Marek just put his hands behind the boys head and kissed back. It felt perfect. He knew he had found someone who he could confide in. Maybe this was the guy he was looking for?
