Well, *ahem* This Is Awkward... (Callum and Janique)

Callum had been happy that finally, something was happening around the school. A ball meant lots of girls desperate for dates, which practically meant his pick. So he had arrived with a pale skinned, black haired girl, from his year named Amanda. After dancing, and being the gentleman he is and getting her a drink, the two decided to go to the balcony, so he could romance her, and tell her all the suave things she wanted to hear.

He walked out, and immediately tensed when he saw Janique already there, with her guy. He couldn't change his game just for her, no, he wouldn't. So he walked over to the railing, though aiming to stay as far away from Jani as possible.

It wasn't long before Janique found herself bored, itchy for something to happen, and she had left to the main ballroom. Looking around, it didn't take her long to locate a target, and, adjusting her mindset, she walked over to him. It took less than half an hour to get him to ask her for a dance, which she politely declined, saying she was 'absolutely exhausted, but could they perhaps go up to the balconies'? He had looked rather dejected, but accepted her request and the two of them left.

They hadn't been up there for too long when she heard someone else coming up. A slight frown passed as she turned to look; she didn't like being interrupted when working. The familiar face caused her to double back, and she found herself stopping to stare at Callum. She hadn't seen him in quite a while, and to suddenly see him dressed so nicely with a date surprised her. At noticing this, her date moved away abruptly, leaving without so much as saying anything. Only after a few moments had passed did Jani realize this, and she cursed under her breath. She had known it was a difficult game she was starting, with him being the clingy type, but she had gotten distracted. Well, she decided, if Callum ruined her game, she was going to do her best to ruin his.

Moving over to where he stood against the railing, she gave a slow smile. "Hey, nice to see you again," she said softly, just loud enough for both Callum and the girl hear. "How have you been?"
