Just wandering (Open)

Kedzie was just straight up bored sitting in her common room, she tried so hard to find something fun to do but nothing worked. Kedzie grew a little bit unpatient and decided she was going to go for a walk just to try and find something fun to do. The twelve year old girl walked out of her common room and just walked, she eventually found herself in the Herbology classroom admiring all the nice looking plants. She didn't know if she was supposed to be in here but she was. Kedzie wasn't bad or broke the rules but the plants spoke to her for some reason unknown.

Violet had an idea. It was a very, very good idea, yes. But she needed to be careful because it happened to be illegal (the morals didn't bother her, obviously, she just couldn't be caught). She knew for a fact that Professor Harrington had very rare plants, and very valuable plants in her Greenhouse. And it was her plant to clip some, not enough for her to notice, and sell them. They'd make her pretty good money, if sold to the right people.

She made her way down to the Greenhouse, forming the response in her head as to what she'd say if the Professor or anyone else was there, or if she were caught. She walked into the classroom, every intention of heading straight to the Venomous Tentacula she had read about in an article, stopping when she realised another girl was there. She knew for a fact that she could get the girl to leave, she was very good at deterring people, freaking them out, it was one of her favourite things to do.

"What are you doing in here?" she asked her sweetly.

While looking around at the rare plants that she was mostly in this class she caught sight of something pretty cool, but before she could have a chance to go to it, the door opened and in walked a girl who looked around her age. Kedzie looked at the blonde haired girl and realized that the girl was not from her house but from Hufflepuff, she had seen her around in Hufflepuff uniforms occasionally. Before the Ravenclaw could say something the Hufflepuff beat her to it.

"I'm here just looking at the plants, I think they're pretty amazing. What about you?" Kedzie asked.

"I'm here just looking at the plants, I think they're pretty amazing. What about you?"

She nodded a little, walking around, her eyes flickering to the rare plant that she needed to get to. The girl was a Ravenclaw, and in her year, Violet recalled seeing her around the castle "Yeah, the plants are pretty amazing, aren't they?" she replied in the same sweet tone, that wasn't really her voice "I'm just admiring them also... What was it you said your name was again?" she asked.

Kedzie watched as the Hufflepuff girl let her eyes flicker to random plants and walked around, when she spoke Kedzie nodded in agreement. "Yes they are. Which is your favorite?" This girl was a Hufflepuff so she had to have had a love of plants like Kedzie. The twelve year old was the first female in 68 years to be in Ravenclaw which was shocking. When the girl asked what Kedzie said her name was again, Kedzie responded.

"I didn't but its Kedzie, Kedzie Loraine. What's yours?"

"Yes they are. Which is your favourite?"

"My favourite?" she tilted her head to the side, as if considering. She really was just trying to remember the name of some of the plants "I think mine are the fireseed bushes. I don't know why, I just really like them. Yours?" she asked. She decided to just get on with it and walked over to inspect the plant she was seeking.

"I didn't but its Kedzie, Kedzie Loraine. What's yours?"

"Nice meeting you Kedzie Loraine, I'm Violet. Fitting, right?" she said as she reached out to look over the leaves, and calculating in her head how many she'd be able to take without the Herbology teacher noticing.

Kedzie waited for the Hufflepuff to answer her question, the Ravenclaw could tell from the posture that the other girl was up to no good but who was Kedzie to say something mean? She was raised better then that and she knew it. "That's a wonderful plant, for some odd reason mine is Devil's Snare or a Puffapod" Kedzie answered. A lot of people that she was crazy for liking Devil's Snare but she found it fascinating.

"Nice meeting you too Violet. That plant really is lovely" she gestured to the plant that Violet was at.

She tilted her head, in slight consideration at the mention of Devil's Snare "That's the one that strangles you to death isn't it?" she asked "Well, that's actually a pretty cool plant as well," she added. "Can't say that I ever heard of the Puffapod though,"

"Nice meeting you too Violet. That plant really is lovely"

She looked back at the plant she was at "Mhm, isn't it? Venomous Tentacula," she pulled her hand away quickly as the plant had snapped one of its vines around her wrist, luckily she got away. The movement had stung her hand a little though "Very sharp though,"

When the Hufflepuff asked if that was the plant that strangled someone, he nodded. "Yes that is the one, it is such a helpful and great plant" Kedzie answered to the Hufflepuff named Violet. "A Puffapod isn't a very known plant, I found it in a book and thought it was fascinating" Kedzie shrugged like it was no big deal.

"Its sharp but a perfect plant that can come in handy" Kedzie replied.

"Yes that is the one, it is such a helpful and great plant"

"Not very helpful to the person it's strangling," Violet added with a smirk at the girl "Helpful to only those out of its grasps," she said. She disregarded what the girl said about the Puffapod thing, she didn't particularly explain it, though Violet didn't care much.

"Its sharp but a perfect plant that can come in handy"

"Every plant is perfect in its own little way," she said, a hint of mocking the girl's love for plants. She couldn't help her tone much, she was just naturally a snarky, not very pleasant girl. "But yeah, very handy for potions and that," she added, almost making it so she seemed passionate about plants, contrary to the reason she was there.

Kedzie nodded to her. "Yes I agree but if you throw someone in Devil's snare, you can get away even if its a five or ten second head start, you can still get away" Kedzie exclaims. It was a handy plant and if she ever had to.use it to get away from danger she would.

"That's true" Kedzie agreed. She didn't mind Violet's tone really. The Ravenclaw has been around a lot of people who like to be mean... hell her older brother was like this Violet girl. The similarities was scary. "Mostly all plants can be used for potions."

"Exactly," Violet smiled and from her pocket, she produced a small tin and her wand. Looking back at the plant, she smirked slightly "I suppose I should reveal why I'm really here, see I've been wanting to try out this potion for ages and I've almost got all the ingredients," she explained. Well, now she did want to try a potion with the leaves in it, but she was more eager to sell most of them. She drew her wand and held the tin under the leaf, murmuring the cutting charm and letting it drop into the tin "So the real reason I came was to get it,"

Kedzie was a little stunned to find out the real reason why Violet was there. She definitely wasn't expecting that but then again people were full of surprises nowadays. The Ravenclaw didn't know what to say or do so she stuck to nodding. "Okay" was all she said. Kedzie wasn't used to rebellious but it was none of her business what her fellow classmate did or not.

She cut off a few more before she closed the tin, and looked at the girl seriously, her true side now showing "And if you tell anyone at all that you saw me here, I'll make sure you wish you hadn't, got it?" she said it calmly, but there was a passive-aggressive nature to her voice. She stuffed the tin in her pocket and she went to walk out of the greenhouse.
