| Kira was standing on the patch of grass, smiling with her face turned to the rare sun ray. Nature was beginning to wake up and it was beautiful to watch. If Kira hadn't been so busy with planning lessons and taking care of grounds for two schools, she'd spend her days just watching plants grow and enjoying the sunshine. It was getting warmer too, at Salem more significantly than Hogwarts, but it was pleasant everywhere.
The only damper on spring was the kidnapping of students and when Kira wasn't worrying about the creatures on the grounds, she was worrying about Diem and when she was at Salem, she kept checking up on her daughter. She felt incredibly sorry for the kids that were kidnapped and for their parents and friends and all in all, it was a horrible thing.
As it so happened, Kira was standing next to huge slabs of meat, hung on tree branches and the smell was making it a bit hard to enjoy the sunshine. One of the slabs was on the ground and around it were two skeletal horse-like creatures, eating the meat. One of the Thestrals moved to stand next to Kira and she reached out to pet him fondly.

| Henley grudgingly made her way towards her class, she didn't like mornings and she sure as hell didn't like classes. She made sure that when she graduates she was never coming back to the hell hole of a school they want to call Salem. She'd rather burn it to the ground. The Nightshade arrived at the class and didn't even bother to greet the overly peppy Professor. | |

| Charlie walked to Care of Magical Creatures, she enjoyed the class and this would be her last lesson at Salem. The school year went by to damn fast and she would be graduating. The red head was going to miss this place too much but she was excited for what the future held. The Wormwood arrived and saw a girl younger then her there, she believes her name is Henley. "Hi Professor" Charlie greeted. | |

| Going to her new mother's class wasn't required but Diem went anyway, just seeing her in action was fun to watch and she loved it. The brunette got there and immediately smiled to her. "Hey Professor Reid" she kept it professional so no one thought that she was playing favorites. It was fun to play it professional because it was a laugh for later in the day when classes were over. | |

| Mary walked down to the grounds, yawning widely and trying to keep her eyes open. As the NEWTs were coming closer and closer, the witch wasn't getting much sleep. Either she was studying or training, or she was too anxious to fall asleep. She was exhausted, but she knew she had to do her best, otherwise she could just kiss her future goodbye. It didn't help that her Mom kept owling her college applications, because she wanted her daughter to have a Muggle degree as well.
She waved to the girls already there, mumbled a greeting to the Professor and then her eyes settled on the skeletal beings around them. It was eerie to see them and even though they were fascinating, they were a painful reminder of losing her best friend.

| Apollo walked to Care of Magical Creatures, he still remembers that a few years ago when Aphrodite first went to the class and recommended it and ever since he has enjoyed the class and decided to keep coming back. When he got there he saw he was the only guy but didn't care. "Hello ladies" he greeted. Being surrounded by his piers and good looking ladies was fine for him. | |

| Kira greeted everyone and sent an especially warm smile towards Diem. She knew her daughter must be very stressed these days and she wanted to do everything to make her feel okay. When everybody was there and it didn't look like anybody else was coming, Kira clapped her hands together to get their attention.
"So, today we'll be talking about Thestrals. Can anyone tell me anything about them? One answer per student, please."

| Professor Reid started class and Apollo knew an answer so he raised his hand to answer. "A thestral is a breed of a winged horse" Apollo could only give one answer and chose that one. He lowered his hand and waited for someone else to answer the question that Professor Reid asked them. He wondered if they'd be able to feed them. | |

| Not taking her eyes off of the Thestrals, she listened to Professor Reid and Apollo, before holding up her own hand. "Only those who've seen someone die can see them." she supplied her answer and lowered her hand. They were fascinating creatures and Mary was sure they'd be less eerie if she'd spend more time with them and got used to them. As she was watching one of them stretch its wings, the witch wished she couldn't see them, even if they were beautiful in their own way. | |

| Kira nodded at the two answers, telling the students they each get five points. Then she asked them all to carefully approach the skeletal horses and could those that could see them please help those who can't. She laid out meat for the Thestrals so they wouldn't get impatient and then stood back and watched as the students carefully worked.
Time flew by while the students got to know the skeletal horses. Kira helped them if there was any trouble, though it all went quite smoothly.
"That's all the time we have today. Good luck with your exams and have a nice summer! To all those who are graduating, I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavours. Goodbye!"
CLASS CLOSED
(OOC: I'm so sorry I didn't post here before, it's my bad and you all get 10 points for participation.)
