Wormwood Try Out for team (Michelle & Mary)

Michelle decided to join with wormwood qudditch team. She have seen few games and also some practieses when she has passdd it then when they were held but she haven't really played it herself. She looked into the information of that game and wondered what place should be for her. She herself thinks being keeper sounds the best idea for her.

She soon walked to the qudditch pitch, she need to go through try out before she could join with team. She had brought her own broom with her, what's she had brought last year withher own money. She now needed to wait captain of wormwood quidditch team.

Quidditch Captain. Mary was the Quidditch Captain. She got the notice along with her Head Girl badge and she had a hard time believing it was actually true. It was a huge honor as well as responsibility and she was beyond excited. She wasn't particularly worried about the team, she knew everybody would do their best. There weren't a lot of people in Wormwood that liked sports, but those that did were just as determined to play good as she was.

Sadie and a few other players left them last year, when they graduated and it was time to find new players. Mary put up a notice in the Common Room about the tryouts and had seen a few students excited about it, which made her quite happy. It wouldn't be too good if no one was interested this year.

She woke up early on Saturday to go jogging and do her routine work out. She was getting better and didn't get tired as soon as she did last year and couldn't wait to tell Jake about her progress. After her work out, she spent her time planning patrolling for Prefects until it was time to go down to the pitch.

Mary changed to her Quidditch robes, took her broom, a pad and a pen and walked down to the grounds. There was a small group of people already there, waiting for her. She felt weirdly powerful and also quite nervous. What if people were only there to make fun out of her, to taunt her what a terrible Captain she was- no. She shook those thoughts out of her mind and blew the whistle she had in a pocket.

"Good afternoon, everybody! I want you to form groups depending on what position you want to play. Keepers here, chasers, beaters and finally, seekers here." Mary said loudly, indicating where she wanted each group. The two players that were still on the team, Anna and Jim went to their respective groups; Anna to chasers and Jim to the beaters. They were good players and had already proved they deserved to keep their places on the team.

"Alright! Keepers first. Anna here will try to score, each one of you gets five shots. You will go up one by one and the one who saves most shots, gets on the team. If you even think about cheating, you'll be in detention for a month. Is that clear?"

Michelle heard what Quidditch Captain Mary said now and ahe did then went to group where ahe belonged, witch was keeper. She then heard what will happen next and she noddef quietly. She looked for a second up to the sky.

"Yes, it's clear," she said with smile. She really didn't know even how to cheat on this game so she couldn't do it. She looked at the other keepers ajd wondered what will happen next. She had no idea who will be first to try to protect these ahots. She really didn't want to be first one to go and do it.

"Alright. Tom, you're up first." Mary said to one of the people in the Keepers group and gave a nod to Anna. She watched as the other witch grabbed a Quaffle and flew up. Tom followed her and hovered in front of the goals.

Anna fired her five shots and the fourth year only saved two. He flew back down and Mary gave him a pat on the shoulders. "Keep on practicing, maybe next year." she tried to comfort him and he gave a small nod before walking away. She felt a bit sorry, he was a pleasant guy and she knew he'd work hard. But rules were rules.

"Lucy." Mary called out the next person and the witch flew up. She did better, she saved three shots. Three out of five wasn't so bad and she smiled at the girl, asking her to wait till everybody's finished.

"Michelle, your turn."

Michelle saw how Tom and then Lucy did. She smiled at them and nodded. Soon she heard her name too. She did take deep breath and then did fly up to sky. She did stay near the goals. She hoped that she will do good.

Soon Anna did throw quaffle first time but it went through goal but other four she did catch, so Anna did score one time and missed four time. First time playing and being keeper, it was pretty good for that. She smiled and soon she was back at the ground.

Michelle did quite good and Mary was impressed. She noted it down in her notebook and gave the girl a warm smile when she landed.

"Good job. Can you stay for a bit longer?" she asked the other girl in a low voice before turning to the last candidate. "Ian, go."

The fellow seventh year was apparently too distracted by something and only managed to save two shots. He flew back to the ground with a sheepish look on his face. He told Mary he was really only here to impress Anna. The Captain's head started aching and she told the boy to just go back to the castle and ask Anna out some other time. This was just wasting her time and she was not impressed.

"Well, it seems we have our Keeper!" Mary said, grinning at Michelle. "Congrats."

Michelle was glad that she had done good. She nodded amd did stand there and watched how Ian did. But yhat boy didn't do very well and when ahe heard why he had decided to join she smiled for a second. It was quite sweet in her mind but there is other ways how to impress girl.

She smiled when she heard that she did got the spot to be keeper. "Thanks," she said. She was happy to be in team now. She was hoping that she wil do same good at the game too.
