DADA - Lesson Three (Group Five: Beatrice, Georgina & Violet)

Today's class will be in the form of a maze, as you may have already guessed. The objective is to reach the middle past four different obstacles. Each obstacle will be given once you complete the one before, and the team will only be able to move on through a team effort.

It should be noted that this lesson will not be marked based on perfection of characters, but marked solely on development and realism of the writing.

Every team member will be given up to FORTY points for participation (you will be marked separately so work hard!), being TEN points maximum for each stage.

You are welcome to explore characterisation throughout, and PM each other or myself with questions and ideas you may have.

If, at any point, you are having difficulties with the task, you need only point your wand to the sky and shoot sparks and you will be removed from the task.

Your first task: Get through the attacking bush into the clearing beyond. It will try to bind you, and stop you from getting through. What the bush is, is down to personal preference, and how you defeat it is up to your group.

So for once, class wasn't going to be dull. Violet was slightly intrigued, and just hoped that she had a competent group. She walked over to the two other girls in her group after hearing the task, ideas of different spells she could use already running through her head, trying to think and plan ahead. "First thing's first, the bush," she said, not bothering to think that someone else would want to take the lead "I think Incendio is the most effective way when dealing with bushes," she addressed the other girls.

When the group had been announced, Gina couldn't help but grin at the fact she was paired with her girlfriend. Though, no one knew about this, it was nice to be there. She could almost pretend she was protecting Beatrice by being here - though in honesty, it would probably be the other way around being the Hufflepuff was quite useless.

As the three moved off, Gina was quite surprised that the youngest member of the group was talking first. Well... that was a little different.

And violent.

"Umm... I... if you two think that's the best way to go?" Gina responded, looking to Beatrice questioningly. Honestly, she was with the younger Hufflepuff on this - no point wasting time identifying it, just get rid of it.

When Jake said she'd be in a group with Gina, Beatrice looked down at the ground, barely containing a smile. She wondered whether the Professor somehow knew they were together or whether it was just a coincidence. Either way, Beatrice was overjoyed.

She looked up when the Hufflepuff that was with them spoke and she smiled at the girl, nodding her head. It was more than okay with her that somebody else had taken control of the situation. While she loved adventures and was practically buzzing with excitement, she preferred not to be the leader. That way, she couldn't be responsible if something horrible happened.

"Incendio sounds good. Straightforward and, hopefully, efficient." Bea agreed, nodding.

She carefully walked towards the bush, her wand held tightly in her hand and an excited grin on her face. The bush looked peaceful, but Bea knew enough about the wizarding world to expect it to attack. Maybe it was just paranoia, really, but she wasn't going to risk it.

"Should we cast it together? More powerful, and all that." Bea glanced over her shoulder to the other two girls.
