Time For A New Game (Aragorn) Empty
PostSubject: Time For A New Game (Aragorn)   Time For A New Game (Aragorn) EmptyMon Sep 15, 2014 4:01 am

School had been more than interesting, what with her relationship with the one game that was her best - and worst. Falling for a game. Now that was something she never, ever thought would happen but it did, and she would have never admitted to anyone how right it felt to be with Callum. Still, she found herself getting more and more agitated. Sure, it was nice having someone who actually loved you, and whom you loved back, but with her kind of past, she needed action. She needed something to get her mind working.

It wasn't as if it was hard to find targets in Salem; all she needed to do was open her eyes and she would see at least potential games jumping out at her. But, she had Callum, and she wanted to make things between them work. It was weird for her to be tied to a male, and it took quite a few nights of tossing and turning before she worked up the courage to ask him for permission to play a game. With the promise that she would not do anything drastic (such as take him to bed), and that she was only doing it because she felt it was her duty to protect other girls, she spent the next day narrowing down her list, and a further week of observation - which may be called stalking by some - before she made her move.

Armed with lots of knowledge about her target, Aragorn, an older Nightshade from the seventh, she made her way down to the dungeons, where she hoped he would be. As she planned, another male, a popular figure from the same year as Aragorn with whom she had flirted with a few times, was also there. Ahead, just outside the kitchen doors, was her potential game. Tugging on her horridly pink shirt, she walked towards him.

Almost as though on cue, she felt a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. Turning, she gave a smile towards the popular guy. "Hey, Janique, right? I was wondering, want to go for dinner on Saturday?"

She gave it a few seconds and then violently shrugged off his hand. "Urg!" she cried in a tone full of disgust, and, like planned, it carried down the empty hallway. "I'm not some easy chick, you know. Please go away and leave me alone. I have standard that you could never fill," she continued, raising her tone slightly to mimic anger.

She almost laughed at the look on the boy's face, but instead, she watched as he huffed off. He would have made an interesting game, she thought, smirking to herself. But he was no good enough; he was an amateur, and everyone knew that he was a player. No, she had her sights set on someone better. Spinning around and forcing an upset look onto her face, she continued down the hall, straight towards her true game. As she passed him, she let out a soft sigh, but didn't bother to slow down. That was his job; making her stop walking enough to converse. Her trap was laid. Now she could only hope that he bit.

Time For A New Game (Aragorn) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Time For A New Game (Aragorn)   Time For A New Game (Aragorn) EmptyMon Sep 15, 2014 4:08 am

Aragorn had been walking down one of the kitchens, when he had heard a girl speaking to one of the popular boys. Turning him down, he was slightly amused. Not many girls had turned down the popular boys in the past, once she walked past him he couldn't help but let his attention be grabbed.
She was a new target, different.. He liked that, sure he had the other girl. But she could wait, he wanted to take time with her, he would  beautifully break her . This girl however, he couldn't help but follow her. Quickly catching up to her, "Excuse me, you dropped a book" he said, handing it back to her. Not telling her that he had nicked it in the first place, "Janique right?" he enquired, already fascinated by this girl.

She felt the unnatural movement of her bag and knew what he had done. Not original - she had used that very trick a few times - but it worked. So when he stopped her and handed her back a book, she accepted it with wide eyes and a, "Oh, thank you so much!"

"Janique right?"

Nodding, she gave him a small smile. "I don't think we've met, have we?" she asked, slipping the book into her bag. So far so good; just a few more minutes and she would know if her time spent collecting data would pay off, or if she had just wasted time.

I don't think we've met, have we?"

"No I usually keep to myself, most people don't interest me" Aragorn replied, "The girls with their makeup, their drama. The guys bragging about who the hooked up with......Trivial matters don't matter to me. My name is Aragorn by the way, Aragorn Stormbearer" he answered, already scoping out the girl. She was insecure, small....He would enjoy breaking her.

She listened to him talking. If only it was always this easy; if only games told her exactly what she had to do in order to hook them. It wasn't always the case. In fact, this was her first one that had done so within the first five minutes of contact. Giving him another smile, she laughed. "I know exactly what you mean. I really feel for some I these girls... They think a guy likes them, but they're just another mark in the book."

As she said this, she couldn't help but chuckle. To anyone else, it may seem as though it was in relation to her words, when in fact it was at the irony of what he had said, because she knew he himself was a player.

"Nice to meet you, Aragorn," she said. "You already know I'm Janique."

Aragorn listened as the girl spoke, she was trying to prove how tough she was. He smiled at her, probably making her think that she was funny. In reality it was because she was so easy to get too, she was young and insecure. Trying to prove she was older than what she was, "Yes, the girls get their hearts broken. But let me guess, that doesn't happen to you does it? Your strong, independent......different....special" Aragorn complimented, trying to draw her in. Women fell under his charm, he was handsome and could draw almost anyone in.

"Yes, the girls get their hearts broken. But let me guess, that doesn't happen to you does it? Your strong, independent...... different ....special"

No, it doesn't. I don't let them. I break theirs, she thought! but gave a shake of her head instead. "It happened once," she replied, letting herself look sad. "But since then..." she paused. "No, not since then."

She took in the boy in front of her. He was arrogant. Obviously he thought his line was smooth, and that she would be fawning all over him. But he had given himself away previously; he didn't like them easy. And seeing as Janique was whatever the game wanted her to be, she would do exactly that. If he wanted a challenge, he had one. "I'm nothing special," she said seriously. "I just don't get into relationships."

"It happened once,"

"And I am sure you regret it" Aragorn replied smoothly, she was putting up a brilliant fight. It was refreshing, at her mention of her being nothing special he just smiled. "You are what you think you are." he answered. Still scoping her out, he wanted to push her buttons. To see what made her react. "What about your parents? Are they proud of their daughter?" he asked, his victims always reacted to family. They all reacted differently but they all react to family.

"No, actually, I don't," she replied smoothly. "It taught me a good lesson. Never trust boys, so I don't." So far, he had done nothing but react to her prompts, which was a good sign. It showed her that he was easier to manipulate than she could have ever hoped. Glancing down at her watch, she pretended to study it for a brief moment. The family question was a smart move. Again, it was overused, but it was a method that had stood many a trials and passed. She ignored it altogether. Giving him an apologetic smile, she said, "Oh dear. I'm late to my next class! I have to run, it was nice meeting you. Maybe we'll bump into each other again?" With that, she broke into a small jog and rounded the corner. She didn't actually have a class, but she didn't like drawing out their first meeting too much, so she left for her common room dorm, where she knew she'd have privacy.

"Clever" Aragorn thought to himself, very clever. Playing the running late to class card, it always worked. It also showed that she wasn't ready to talk about her family, something he couldn't wait to push her on later. However she had gone now so he would have to wait, but Aragorn didn't mind. He could wait as long as necessary, he was patient. He walked back to his own dorm, and thought little of his new target. He had already filed her away, now he was back to his first one. The Wormwood girl.
