There were lots of things that Gillian was interested in, her parents usually said that she was overly-eager to learn new things, and it was a true thing, even though she hated homework or any kind of situation where people put pressure on students to perform based on intuitive things; she however, liked to experiment new things she could do with magic.

While there were a lot of nice things to do with magic, Gillian found herself attracted to the dangerous things, like fire, and other forces of nature. Knowing that she could use her magic to control edgier things gave her a kind of adrenaline rush that most people would find slightly weird. That's how she found herself sitting against a tree trunk on the edge of the Night Forest, with a jar of bluebell flames, holding a piece of parchment over it, trying to see how long and how close it needed to be to get on fire.

Arsen was out for a run through the forest he was not wearing his shirt for he had ditched it in his dorm room besides he was outside why did he need to wear a shirt if he was exercising anyways. He stopped in his tracks when he came across a younger student playing with fire.

He slowed his pace and made his way over to her. His eyes were his normal dark brown color but for some reason he wanted to use some of his power if only a little to get her attention. Sitting by her he didn't say anything just flicked his finger and a small flame grew on it and he then touched the parchment she was holding over the jar.

The flames were so enthralling that she barely noticed someone sitting beside her under the tree next to her, but then the flames in her jar were shadowed by some other really nice orange real ones coming out of a finger and posing themselves on top of her parchment. She gasped delightedly and looked up the the stranger that owned the fire wielding finger.

She found first that the stranger was a boy, which was a first for her in the school, that he wasn't wearing a t-shirt and finally, and most amazing was that he was indeed throwing flames from his finger. Without letting the parchment go, and turning her eyes between the paper and the boy, she smiled really big and asked with enthusiasm "how do you do that?" she said watching the flames consume the paper and forgetting about the jar underneath it "can you teach me?". Gillian decided not to comment on the lack of shirt, seeing how he didn't seem to mind at all his state.

Arsen laughed at the girl's reaction. "Unfortunately it can't be taught I am in fact am sort of made up of fire. I am what you would call a fire demon basically an entity of fire." He said as he put out his finger.

"Though you are probably the first person he actually thought it was cool well the first person who showed or told anyone about the fact that I can control fire.

The flames of the burning parchment were about to reach her fingers, so with a bit of regret, Gillian dropped it inside the jar with the bluebell flames, and watched them merge together in a swirl of blue and orange that took her breath away for a second.

As soon as it was over, and the flames were back again to being blue, Gillian turned her full attention to the boy next to her and with a huge smile she shifted her body so she could be facing him. Taking his hand in hers, she touched his fingers and turned his hand in hers, trying to discover how the whole flammable fingers worked "does it hurt when you do that?" she asked with interest. And then, she looked up to his dark eyes and asked concerned "why haven't you told your friends about it?"
