Ares was running out of material for pranks so he needed to come and get more, him and Brayden had both agreed on getting supplies and he needed to live up to his end because he was pretty sure that Brayden already got his far share. The Wormwood knew that if his parents found out that he was using their money for pranks and not school supplies or to get things for him so he wouldn't be bored then they'd be mad at him. While in his thoughts he didn't watch where he was going because he collided with someone.
