Personality: Ewan can be described as severely vain and highly self obsessed which many perceive to be as annoying. He is also aggressive and self-righteous, Ewan is a former Gryffindor and epitomises the most negative aspects of the stereotypic Gryffindor characteristics. Though brave, he is foolhardy rather than self-sacrificing. He is also arrogant and pushy and has a strong sense of entitlement
Background: Ewan is the youngest of three boys, as a child he reached developmental milestones earlier than his brothers did, this combined with him being the youngest made him his parent's favourite. Both his parents constantly praised him and this made his vanity grow like a weed, making him almost unbearable to be around because of his constant boasting.
He was sorted into Gryffindor, unlike his brothers who both landed in Slytherin something which they were pleased about as for having to be around him through childhood was enough for them. He excelled in many of his classes and in particular History of Magic, he often liked to compare himself to many of the great wizards he was learning about. While he did not have a large amount of friends due to his personality he made sure to surround himself with people who kissed the ground he walked on.
After he graduated from Hogwarts, he set about seeking fame and recognition and establishing himself as historian who travelled the wizarding world, unlocking and unmasking hidden wizarding history, though of course he made sure his achievements of finding this lost history over shadowed the content itself.
