General appearance: Blair has long, red hair that reaches the middle of her back and is generally in disarray, either just frizzy or put up in a messy bun. She has bright green eyes and naturally red lips, though she has a theory that she bites them enough to almost have a natural lipstick. She has a slender, hourglass body and though she is 5' 8", she is pale and looks as though all the books she carries every day may just break her in half. Blair usually enjoys wearing assorted robes, jeans and t-shirts, or sweats.
Special Features: Blair's right nostril is pierced and she has a birthmark on her left thigh that looks almost like it could be a wand.

Personality: While snappish when annoyed or upset, Blair has been known to have lots of patience and plenty of kindness to show those around her. She is smart, witty, and can be quite sarcastic when caught in the right mood, and loves to crack a good joke and make those around her laugh. She loves libraries and getting lost in a good book, and the little things mean the most to her. Blair hopes to one day be a Professor at Hogwarts.
Background: Blair was born and raised in England by her mother, Helen Castellano, and her father, James Castellano. She is an only child and was very much spoiled as a child, still choosing to spend a great deal of time alone or buried in books as a young child; this is something that she has never grown out of. Blair also loved to write stories and let her imagination flourish in the years before she received her Hogwarts letter.
At Hogwarts, Charms and Transfiguration quickly became Blair's favourite classes, and she poured over books about both courses, learning absolutely everything she could and generally staying at the top of her class. She tried very hard in all of her classes, choosing once again to become academically strong instead of a social butterfly, and did very well, though she had many difficulties in History of Magic and Divination. Blair graduated happily and with her family by her side, encouraging her to look into a Ministry Internship, but she refused.
After school, Blair worked in Hogsmeade at a small book and coffeeshop, earning enough to get a small flat and live comfortably. She has a large collection of library books scattered around her flat, and spends her spare time continuing her learning about the magical world around her, the hope of being a Hogwarts Professor still fresh in her mind.

Family Background: Blair's mother came from a Muggle father and a Witch mother, though she counted herself lucky that their family was full of love and support; something that is not always the case with half-Muggle households. When she got her Hogwarts letter, she was overjoyed and dove into her studies with enthusiasm... something that she passed on to Blair. Now, both of her grandparents' have passed away, but Blair still has fond memories of them visiting her family every Christmastime to tell stories of when little Helen just couldn't quite control her magic.
James Castellano came from a household in which both parents practised magic, though there were Muggle marriages and ties all throughout his family tree, so there was no telling exactly how pure his blood is. But that never mattered to him. James spent a great deal of his time at school trying to make friends with everyone and learning about Muggles - he was top of his class in Muggle Studies - and one of Hogwarts' strongest advocates for magic and nonmagic equality. While Blair doesn't quite share his obsessions, she did inherit his ability to be nonjudgemental (for the most part) and doesn't put a high priority on the pureness of anyone's blood.
