| Blair walked around the Hogwarts library that she had spent so many hours in as a student, smiling and thinking of all the things she had learned and how much she had enjoyed the silent time to herself. She paused at the restricted section - she was in charge now. This section was at her mercy; she could learn anything she wanted! Her heart skipped a beat as she pulled back the curtain and stepped down the dusty aisle. She couldn't believe she could explore any part of this that she wanted! | |

| The library was a place that Finley Allen could always be found. His love for books had developed at a young age, and after finding out about his magical abilities, he'd taken every spare moment to read up on... well, everything. Finley didn't want to be behind anyone, the idea was simply awful. But, he was working through the books meticulously.
Today was no different, as he walked in to the library, Finley moved to the front desk to speak to the librarian about getting a book on Transfiguration, but she wasn't there. Strange... Looking up, the Ravenclaw noticed an older lady stepping over the rope for the restricted section. 'Aha!' Finley thought, hurrying up to the rope. "Umm, excuse me, M-miss. But I was w-wondering if you could help me, I'm looking for the l-librarian. D-do you know where I might find her?" He asked, looking up at her hopefully. The old one had left, but the witch before him looked older than even the biggest kids in school... |

| Blair turned and looked at the boy now standing in front of her. "That would be me. Are you looking for something specific?" She stepped out of the restricted section; students needed a teacher's express permission to get books from there, and not without good reason. But Blair could help him find anything he needed; it may have been her first week on the job, but she knew this place better than almost anywhere in the castle, as she had spent most of her days here when she was in school. | |

| "That would be me. Are you looking for something specific?"
Finley took a moment, sighing in relief that he'd spoken to the right person, but still a little nervous. Well, he was always nervous, people made him nervous, but that was neither here nor there. "I-I'm looking for the T-Transfiguration books. W-would you show me them, p-please?" Finley asked nervously, looking up at the older witch hopefully before blushing profusely.
Girls always made him feel more silly than normal, but that was a topic he wasn't going to go in to, at all. |

| "Yes, just follow me over here..." Blair walked by the restricted section and a few other shelves before picking the aisle to turn down. "You should find what you're looking for here," she said, motioning to the shelf to her right. "If you need help getting one down, just give me a shout... call for Miss Castellano." She hoped that the boy could find what he was looking for... sometimes, the library was too big of a place to be able to pinpoint exactly what you needed, and the high shelves weren't always easy to reach, especially for the younger students. Blair smiled at the boy as she walked further down the aisle, checking to make sure everything was shelved properly as she went. | |

| "Yes, just follow me over here..."
Finley did as he was asked, following her through the library to the section he needed, making sure to stay close so he didn't get forgotten. That happened often, but the Ravenclaw boy wasn't going to dwell on that situation right now. "T-thank you, M-Miss." Finley managed as she walked off, leaving him to the array of Transfiguration books before him. Now, what was the book called again...
After a few moments, Finley pulled down a book, opening it carefully.
There was a pause, and then a flurry of birds flew from the book, surrounding him and continuing to fly around. The small boy dropped the book out of fear, which was possibly a very big mistake. The moment the book hit the floor, each bird dove towards him, causing him to yelp as they hit him and vanished the moment of contact. "Oh d-dear." Finley managed when they'd disappeared, him having fallen on his backside a moment later. Reaching out, the boy closed the book. "N-not this one." He murmured to himself. |
