It seemed that the Polyjuice potion did take a lot of certain students. In fact it seemed that some did not even attempt to accomplish the potion to the finished product. There were only three cauldron in the classroom, ready to attempt to put the final product of their potions in use. It seemed that only the upperclass students even got to this stage. It was somewhat disappointed, but what could he have done about it? He was not about to open it for everyone else when there was a month's work all flushed down the drain.

Shrugging, he waited patiently for the three to arrive. He knew that this was the part where they would have to decide who they would become, he was curious to see who would they decided to be.

With the Polyjuice Potion brewed, Josh wasn't looking forward to this lesson. Professor Holmes had made it well known that Josh had to turn in to another person, and he wasn't at all comfortable with that. Why? Well, when you were a Murray, who else would you want to be? Begrudgingly, Josh had made arrangements though, and with the hair from the donor, Josh had made his way down to the dungeons to get ready.

It was of no surprise that a lot of people had failed this potion, not many people had the knack for the lesson, but if the rumours were true, he was at least a little more enthused that his fellow Head had managed to get through the process. Well, it wasn't really a surprise, coming from the Holmes family, but Josh didn't think it was the name that had put Tess through.

Opening the door, Josh moved in to the room, taking the seat beside his cauldron. "Professor." He acknowledged, putting the vial containing the hair on his desk and waiting for further instructions.

Tess had gotten the owl the previous night, telling her that the potion was brewed correctly enough for her to attend the last lesson. Apparently it was hinted that it would be an intimate class; figures, people didn't do their potions correctly, or absolutely ignored the instruction to meeting time. Either way, she didn't care; she was just glad she managed to make it well enough for her to attend class. She had to admit the hardest part had been trying to find a donor of hair. She had thought about Rhian, but then again what would have been the fun of that. She never really had any people that close to her...except the one person she had asked the hair from. She had asked very kindly, and distract him enough to grab the strand of hair and pull it. He wasn't all too pleased, but he understood; both loved potions.

A hint of a grin appeared on her expression as she pushed the door open. It seemed pretty clear that when it was hinted at intimate it was small, but not this class. Only three cauldrons were in the whole room, one taken up by the Head Boy himself. Smiling briefly at his direction, she sat down in front of her engraved cauldron and waited patiently for the third person to arrive.

Rhian was excited to receive her letter about potions. It wasn't that she thought herself horrid at the subject, but she was never top marks in the class either. With Tess as her lab partner in most group work, she was glad to see that she could do well enough on her own for this potion. Plus, there was the added feeling of not letting Mycroft down either.

Walking down to the dungeons, she pushed the door open quietly, not sure who would be there. Spotting only three cauldrons, her eyebrows rose. The other two were already there, and no surprise as to their owners. Murray, she didn't much care about either way, but she was glad to see Tess.

She took her spot with her cauldron and pulled out her tools. The phial of hair was set gingerly amid the items, a small smile on her face. It was easy to acquire, though the look on Conner's face when he realized what he was really agreeing too had her in stitches. Looking up at Mycroft with a greeting smile, she wondered how he'd take the choice.

The students allowed to enter arrived promptly to his classroom, something that Mycroft definitely appreciated. Figuring that there was no point in lagging it he got up and walked towards his own version of the potion. Looking over as all of them went to their respective cauldrons he began to throw out questions.

"Welcome to your last lessons of potions ever. Seeing as you are all seventh years, I'm glad to see familiar faces that I knew could get to this level of the potion. This is known to be the hardest part of the month's worth of work. But before we begin, each of you tell me a good reason to use this potion? Sell me your reason."

Josh listened to the opening from Professor Holmes about this being their last lesson of potions, did he care that he would be leaving? No, not really, it meant he got away from the menial tasks of school and then he'd be free to do whatever he wanted, such was the joy of Pureblood life.

"But before we begin, each of you tell me a good reason to use this potion? Sell me your reason."

Josh waited for one of the others to have a punt at the answer, but when neither of them stepped forward, Josh decided to give his idea of use. Honestly, he didn't like the potion, or see why anyone would want to use it, but that wasn't the idea of the lesson. "The Polyjuice potion could be used in real terms by the Auror division when on undercover missions. It would give them an appearance of someone on the inside of a job, and they'd imitate the person they changed in to. This would allow them to find any information they need without being caught. Obviously, a single potion wouldn't give them very long to get the job done, but continued use could give them a long term cover if they needed it." Josh supplied.

(OOC: I've been swamped with midterms, thus I'll just be asking for people to post your potion making skills and will give out the full 20 plus 10 pts for Murray, J. for answering his question.)

Part 2, step two
Add 1 additional scoop of lacewings to the cauldron.
Stir 3 times, anti-clockwise.
Split potion into multiple doses, if desired, then add the pieces of the person you wish to become.
Wave your wand to complete the potion.
