| Violet was stuck in the Hufflepuff common room. She wasn't bothered to leave for the library at the late time it was, and she wasn't willing to go to her dorm, where she knew that her roommates were, already, gossiping away about crap that was meaningless and used for cheap entertainment while they drifted to sleep.
So, Violet was seated on one of the couches by the fire, scribbling down answers to some homework she had received. She wasn't completely immersed though, the answers always came easy to her. She sighed and looked around the room with boredom written on her face.

| It was a usual night, so that meant that Victoria was studying, as always. There wasn't really an evening when the Hufflepuff wasn't going over her work from the day. It meant the world to Victoria to study and do well, which was reflected in everything she did. The common room was growing quieter around her, not that Victoria really noticed noise at the best of times.
This evening, Victoria was simply going over Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, however. One of her favourite books, which was shown quite clearly in the fact that the book looked well worn. Victoria was immersed in her book, not paying attention to her surroundings as she smiled to herself. She'd gotten to the dragons section, which was most definitely her favourite. |

| She finished with one topic and moved onto some Care of Magical Creatures work. Not one of Vi's favourites, but it needed to be done. She sighed as she unrolled another length of parchment, to begin writing notes on thing she remembered from class. Once finished with that, she read over them and decided that more detail was needed, to make them better. Of course, her book was tucked away neatly upstairs, in her dorm. A quick glance around the common room and she saw the other Hufflepuff, completely immersed in the book, though Violet had no clue how. It was boring, plainly boring.
With a sigh, she stood up from her seat and approached the girl, clearing her throat "I need to borrow that," she said with a nod to the book.

| Victoria was just reading about the Sweedish Shortsnout when her reading time was interrupted. Marking her page with her brilliant pink bookmark, she looked up at the Hufflepuff that had made her way over and offered her a small smile, before realising that she'd asked for Victoria's book.
"This isn't a library edition of the book." Victoria told her softly. "But I can show you where to get one from the library, if you like?" She added, always helpful more than anything. Also, the lack of manners was making Victoria slightly uneasy, and though she would like to help the witch, she wasn't going to be bullied in to things. Though, of course, Victoria was much too nice.
"Are you stuck with your homework? Perhaps I could help?" |
