"I think we've more than earned a celebratory drink!"

"We have," Marilyn conceded, shedding her cardigan before accepting the drink, her sleeveless blouse always had the top two buttons opened, so she simply leaned back again, toasting the air.

"To a deal done," she toasted, taking a liberal drink from the champagne glass in her hand, contemplating it for a moment before pulling her knee up and without looking at him directly, "And don't let this get to your head, but I was almost impressed," Mari smirked, her tone teasing.

To be honest she had been impressed by how well they'd worked together and she knew that their teamwork had been key in showing Wong that their company was a good horse. The woman set her glass on the table after taking another sip, her tongue dipping along her lower lip to catch the drips of condensation from the glass.

"I guess I'll have to find something else to impress you with."

"Oh?" Marilyn's eyes didn't move from idly looking at the patterns on the ceiling, "Like what?" Her voice was light and curious, playful almost, teasing. Just then she flicked her gaze over to him to find him watching her and it was then that she realised how she must look in that moment. Hmm, interesting...she mused to herself in thought.

"See something you like?" she asked coolly, eyes moving back to the ceiling with one smug eyebrow raised. Now that she was aware of the effect she seemed to have on him she moved to stretch, her arms above her head, back arching just for a second with a soft sigh before she sat up and meet his gaze with something of a challenge in her eyes, her hands on either side of her, skirt still slightly hitched and blouse crumpled.

"I think I'd have to have a closer inspection to make such decisions..."

Leaning back and uncrossing her legs Marilyn raised her eyebrows and contemplated his words for a moment before coming to the conclusion that it couldn't hurt. So she calmly said "Come closer then." "Shit..." she whispered, "Jackass." Marilyn scowled and pulled her sleepclothes on, grateful to be clean again before closing all doors to the bedroom, locking him out and crawling into bed.

Her phone said she had a missed call from Louis, but she just couldn't face that now. So she called Helen.

"Hel."

Her best friend instantly picked up on her mood, "How was it? You okay?"

"He was a total ass. Like he had something to prove. He's not bad at sex he just...well he has a horrible bedside manner. So angry, all of the sudden."

"Ouch, what a dick. One time thing then?"

"Yeah, I mean, he's hot, but I do not have time for whatever emotional baggage he seems to carry. So this will remain a one time thing, a secret. If he tells anyone I'll ruin him. Keep your ears open, yeah?"

"Will do, catch you later."

Rolling her eyes at the door Marilyn got comfortable in the bed and shuddered. She could still feel where his hands had been and it was the strangest feeling, mixed out of some crazy arousal and irritation.
