A Little Chat (Josh) Empty
PostSubject: A Little Chat (Josh)   A Little Chat (Josh) EmptySun Sep 28, 2014 6:07 am

Cassidy entered the library, her bag heavy with textbooks and quills, and every intention focussed on finishing the stack of homework she had been given from her classes. She sat down at an empty desk, spreading out all her things, and began to scribble down answers to her questions. But that determination to finish died quickly, and she was left looking around at all the others with more focus, doing their own work.

Her eyes fell on the blond-haired Slytherin, Josh Murray, sitting at his own desk, completing his own work. She twirled her quill in her hand for a bit, before deciding to pack up, stuffing all of her books in her bag in disarray, before deciding to head over to Josh. She sat down in front of him, slinging her book bag onto the ground beside her, "How's it going?" she asked, with a grin.

With lots of responsibility mounting up on the Slytherin, Josh had become something of a workaholic. Getting through all the work to N.E.W.T. standard as well as undertaking all his responsibilities as Head Boy and Slytherin Captain meant he had little and less time for social moments, not that Josh had many friends to catch up with, of course.

"How's it going?"

Josh had been working on a thoroughly taxing runes translation when the voice interrupted his thought, and with a slightly annoyed sigh, he led down his quill, looking up to the intruder. His slight anger at the situation faded when he noticed the red head before him. "Young." Josh acknowledged, picking up his quill and marking the rune with it's translation. "Your questions is vague. If you mean my work, it's getting there slowly the teachers seem to believe I have nothing better to do this year. But if you're enquiring as to how I am, I'm fine, thank you." He replied, continuing with the work.

"What about you, Young? How have you been?"

She listened to his reply, smiling at his acknowledgement. She couldn't help but feel a slight pang of nervousness at the thought of the fact that she'd be in his position with the workload, the next year. She honestly didn't think she'd be able to cope. She wasn't at all a high achiever, or academic. But she pushed those thoughts aside.

"It's alright, it's only this year you have such a workload, then you're free," she commented.

"What about you, Young? How have you been?"

"I've been pretty good," she answered "Nothing much has been happening honestly," she added "Dull summer, dull school," she said.

"It's alright, it's only this year you have such a workload, then you're free,"

Josh shook his head at the notion of being free. "You're never free, Young. You'll always have responsibility, no matter who you are." He told her. Some more than others, and Josh probably more than most. It would be tiring, but he knew that it would be something he would have to do. "I just won't be doing pointless essays for idiots." He added, shaking his head slightly once more.

The answer to his question had been brief, not giving much information. Josh simply nodded, because there wasn't much else to be said on that. Turning the page in his textbook, Josh looked up slightly at the witch, briefly, before deciding to cut to the chase. "Was there something you wanted, Young?" The Slytherin asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
