Unspoken words

Thana was walking  out of class when she heard the explosion, at first she didn't think anything of it until she saw Professor Mycroft carrying Jareth out. " You have got to be kidding me" she said out loud. Watching as Professor Mycroft carried him to the hospital wing. After he left Thana walked in past him " I'm sorry for my idiot of a brother disrupting your class" she said, walking in ready to give Jareth what was on her mind.

Walking over to him her first thought was to slap him, but doubted the healer would appreciate that. Instead she gave him her thoughts, " What the hell Jareth??? Do you not pay attention or do you just insist on being an idiot?" She asked him, waiting for his response.

" I don't want to hear it Thana, just because your so perfect and a total nerd " Jareth replied, Thana was hating him so much right now, but he continued. " You think that because you're o good and perfect and top of the class because you're a suck up you can tell me what to do, you're not even family. Why don't you go back to the hole you came from? Yeah I failed that stupid Professors assignment , so what? " he said bitterly. Apparently his burns hadn't knocked sense into him.

Thana took a few moments to register what he said. Hurt, but didn't let it show. " Jareth, you need to get your head out of your ass. Do you really think you can insult the Professor because you're an idiot? All your teachers, especially Professor Mycroft deserve your respect. Yes Jareth, I study hard. But do you know why? Do you know why I study so hard? It's because I owe a whole to Professor Mycroft, unlike you I didn't have an easy upbringing. I didn't have parents who loved me, I had parents who were murdered  because of what I could do. I wasn't as lucky as you Jareth, I didn't have everything handed to me. I had to work for everything I got. I was abused, hurt and even tortured as a child. Yes I study hard Jareth, because unlike you I didn't get to go to school. I never got to do my first five years at school, and it's only because of Professor Mycroft that I even got to attend Hogwarts last year ! He offered to take me when I didn't think anyone would. He let me make my identity, knowing full well my past. He gave me a chance at a new life, a chance to do something with my life. I had to make up for five years of study in less  than a year, plus do the normal sixth year coursework .  So yes Jareth I study, I study hard to make sure I pass. Because if I don't I'm afraid that I won't be allowed to stay at school. I try hard in all my classes, and especially Potions even though it's not my best because I owe Professor Mycroft a whole lot, and I have a deep respect for him. " Thana replied, before continuing

. " I don't have a choice, same as this year I could of taken all of the same classes as last year, because I passed all of them except divination. I don't have it easy, a barely passed DADA, something you easily do. I have to study hard for everything I do,  unlike  you I choose new classes and have to work to keep up with them, because unlike you I don't have it that easy. I go off at you because I know how good you can be, I don't care that your not my blood family. Your still my brother no matter how much I hate you at times, and nothing can change that. I just can't keep bailing you out everytime you do something stupid. I don't go off at you because I think I'm better than you, I do it because I don't want you to have to work as hard as I did. I am repeating this year because I saved you, yes it's hard but I wouldn't take saving you back. I have to live  with my faulty heart now, I rely on pain medication to get past every day, and I have to deal with the stress that school puts on my heart. I don't care about that Jareth,  I just want you to do something with your life. I don't even know if Mycroft will let you come back to his class. Regardless of whether or not he does you still owe him a right royal apology and he deserves your respect"  she finished.

Jareth seemed lost for words, he didn't know how bad her past was. He knew she had a bad upbringing but didn't know all of it. No one in the family spoke of her past. It was just something never discussed, he didn't realise how much she had put on the line for him.  And he kept throwing it back in her face, she had let him have Alyson over during the holidays and he knew full well she couldn't have guests of her own because she was still healing. Healing from an injury he had made her get and made her repeat sixth year for, even though she had got top marks. She had to repeat again and he wasn't making it any easier for her , he never realised why she studied so hard , why she never went to parties. He thought it was just because she thought that she was better than him. He didn't realise why she spent all nighters to make sure that a simple essay was perfect. " Get some rest" Thana said, walking out. She walked to the corridor and closed the door behind her, sighing she turned around and went to walk off.

Aragorn had been dismissed from Potions, having completed the asked work. He had been minding his own business, until he saw the Wormwood girl go in to the Infirmary. Quietly he walked over to the door and listened, raising an eyebrow as he heard her go off.

At that statement Aragorn suddenly became even more interested, she was obviously intelligent. Especially if she managed to catch up on the last years, after a few more words he heard her tell Jareth to get some rest and realised he would have to move quickly to avoid suspicion. Quickly and quietly he walked over to the other side of the corridor, making it look like he was just walking past as she walked out. He had found her name out, Thana. Quietly he watched as she closed the door and turned around. "Brothers........always a handful aren't they?" he said to her, making his presence known. Watching as she spotted him. "I'm Aragorn, Aragorn Stormbearer and you are?" Aragorn asked.

"Brothers........always a handful aren't they?"

Thana stopped and looked around spotting a Nightshade, one who was in almost all of her classes. "They can be." she replied, guessing that he had been simply walking past. Everyone in potions knew of her brothers idiocy.

I'm Aragorn, Aragorn Stormbearer and you are?"

"Oh, I'm Thana. Thana Semele" she replied, remembering her manners. "We share most classes right?" Thana asked, being polite and making conversation.

"Yes. We have almost all the same classes, your a prefect as well? How does that work? A Hogwarts transfer student becomes a Prefect right away? " he asked, curious. It was unusual, and he was not expecting her answer.


I transferred, I guess my grades and history was good enough for me to be made a Prefect again.


Again? That was curious, but Aragorn simply filed it away. "Well it has been a pleasure to meet you Miss Thana. See you around. " he said, bowing slightly before walking away. She certainly was a curious one, one he would have to find out more about. He smiled, knowing he had found his next interest.
