General appearance: Gavin is a copper haired hulking mass of teenage boy. Standing at six foot and two quarter inches he’s taller than most guys his age. His red hair and bright blue eyes stand out in a crowd and make him easily identifiable.  His complexion is pale and if he spends too much time in the sun he burns.

Personality: The way people see Gavin depends greatly on who’s around him at the time. As a talented social chameleon he can blend in and get along with almost any group of people. Though basic facets of his personality remain the same; he’s a kind boy who tries not to rock the boat, fiercely loyal and protective of those who have earned it, and massively intelligent and driven. Some say that he might come off as cold and calculating, but he just takes some time to warm up to strangers.

Background: Being the bastard children of a witch and a lightning elemental Annalise and her children had troubles in her home town of Montreal. When the children were young she moved them to Boston to start a new life. It was there that she met and fell in love with a mud blood wizard. She married him despite the adamant protest from her family. Lloyd adopted her children and raised them as his own, never letting on to them that they weren't of his loins. However it wasn't too long until the powers inherited from their father started to surface. The children were given the option to continue to hone their magical craft or go with their birth father and learn the ways of the elemental. All three of them chose to stay with their mother and love their lives as normal as they could.

When it got time for the triplets to attend school they petitioned to their mother to let them split up. Having grown up as a "set" all three of them were more than ready to live life as individuals. Gabby chose to go off to Spain and Garrett to the UK. Being the most reliant on their mother Gavin chose to stay home and attend Salem Academy. He's well liked enough and keeps his head down to avoid most trouble. But every now and again his electricity based powers will flare up and cause problems for him.

Recently he's begun to come to terms with his more primal side, both in terms of his electrokinesis and his budding attraction to other boys. He isn't sure how his parents wpuld react to either of those so he keeps it to himself for the most part.

Gavin's step father comes from a relatively well off family that has lived in Massachusetts for generations. Old money as it's called.

Jake Newbury

Gavin and Jake have been friends since Gavin joined on to the Belladonna Quidditch team. The older boy nearly immediately took Gavin under his wing seeing potential him. Over time Gavin grew to admire and eventually love Jake as an older brother. There's a bit of unspoken tension between the two of them concerning Gavin's sexual preferences,  but they still are and always will be best friends.

With Jake now more accepting of his sexuality he and Gavin have grown closer if anything. While Gavin would still be wary of introducing Jake to any man that may be in his life, he has great hope that one day his friend (and pretty much brother) will come around.

Victoria Newbury

The younger of the two Newbury siblings,  and also a very close friend of Gavin's. Just as he sees Jake as an older brother, he veiws his sister as his own.  After Jake graduated from Salem, Gavin took it upon himself to become the young girl's protector.  Her cheery disposing very often lightens his spirits.

On a day to day basis Gavin is more and more amazed at the young woman that Victoria is growing into. No longer does he see her as a quiet little wallflower, but a beautiful and charming woman in her own right. Even though the thought of Victoria dating scares him and makes him want to wave a bat at any boys looking at her lewdly.

Azalea Harrington

Where previously the witch had been little more to Gavin than his best bro's girl he has come to respect and admire the woman. He sees her as a friend and often refers to her as his sister-in-law in conversation with people. If anything the tension between  himself and Jake strengthens his bond with his girlfriend.

With Jake and Azalea's break up, Gavin doesn't see the woman as much anymore. It for the most part hasn't changed how he feels about her. She's still an amazing woman that's done him a lot of good and he'll never be able to repay her for that.

Marilyn Caldwell

A girl Gavin befriended during his sixth year at Salem on a dark and stormy night in the common room. Although different in many ways, Gavin and Mari formed a bond rather quickly and developed an understanding of each other. They shared secrets with one another that they hadn't told anyone else, in fact Marilyn was the first person Gavin came out to and told about his powers. Her disappearance changed something in the boy.

Even though Mari is back now it remains to be seen if the two of them can rekindle their friendship. Both of them now adults following their own paths in life. Gavin hopes to rebuild what they once had.

Mary McNeely

A friend from Salem that Gavin didn't really start getting to know until after he graduated. They initially formed a friendship through Jake and Azalea and have grown much closer over the year since Gavin left school. In fact they are planning to embark on a new journey together...the journey of cohabitation.
