Training, lesson 2.

Tess slowly repeated the steps in her mind, never knowing exactly how this would be useful, but she needed to be on point for anything. The rotation of her hands seemed natural, if not a bit silly, but she was determined to push and get to that part of the dance where everything would work out.

When Thana noticed that she was uncomfortable with the thought of going to the meeting, she realized that perhaps she was showing too much of her feelings in her expression. Relaxing her mind, and her expression she went from one movement to another relaxed.

"I understand" she murmured softly, slowly rotating.

" It's alright, " Thana replied to Tess, for a breif moment she was distracted. In that moment Thana lost her balance and the ice completely shifted. Thana always graceful, did a somersault that led into a backflip to retain her balance.

" Like the leaves of the WillowTree, you must be firm but yielding. You must be able to adapt" Thana said, trying to be like her master. " also for training, since you are head girl you would have hardly any time to train. Try doing a bit of parkour" Thana offered as advice, continuing the routine.

Thana finished the dance, remaining standing still at the end. " you will have to try remember the routine for now, eventually it will become second nature to you"

Tess looked at Thana lost her balance and took some comfort in the idea that even someone who was practiced had struggles to keep on point. But as the girl began to explain to her balance, she tried not to bubble in laughter. It was cheesy, yes, but wherever it was coming from, Tess figured it was from a place of knowledge. Turning her head away, she hid her smile, and moved slowly following the movements once more.

When she explained that she should practice these foreign things, Tess looked at her confused. What the hell was parkour?

"What?" she said confusion clear on her face.

Even as she asked, she moved her body as directed as second nature, not bothering to stop, instead moving quicker.

What Tess asked about Parkour, "I'll show you at the castle" Thana replied, watching as Tess got faster. " not like that, like this" Thana said, moving next to Tess and fixing one of the steps.

" Move your left hand over, then move your right foot" she said, mimicking the dance. Thana looked at her watch, " well it's time we left" Thana said, " We'll done on today" she offered Tess a water bottle and gave Tess her jacket. " Any questions?" Thana asked.

Tess thought she was doing a good job, but that was not the case as Thana jumped towards her ice, made it wobble a bit. She tensed up automatically as she got too close but powered through the motions.

" Move your left hand over, then move your right foot"

She moved slowly, not wanting to be corrected once more. It was important not to move too fast she supposed, but rather concentrate on moving exact, not with speed. Once the lesson ended, Tess gladly took the bottle of water and began to drink from it, surprised it wasn't as exhausting as the others.

"No questions" she murmured before drinking more.

" Your welcome" Thana replied, as Tess thanked her for the water . " Rest up, the year's almost over. Hopefully we'll have a few more lessons before the year is out. Can't make it too obvious though, your brother might get suspicious " Thana said,

" did you want to fly back?" Thana offered, she needed to take the brooms back anyway. " save us walking?"

At the mention of Mycroft, Tess briefly wondered if he would have anything to say about this. She briefly wondered if she cared, and frowned at the thought of his disapproval. Now that he was at the head of the family, she wondered if he'd force her to stop the training.

"Yes, that would be a problem" she replied drinking her water.

At the mention of flying back, Tess nodded taking the broom from the Ravenclaw girl. She zipped her jacket back up, not wanting to show her abdomen to her classmates if they found her. Then she straddled the broom and kicked off, glad to have time to relax and sleep it off.
