We R Slytherins (Party Thread - All Hogwarts Students Welcome!)

News of a party had traveled fast, and Tristan was doubtful. The only party he'd ever attended was his family's Christmas/Brooke's birthday celebration, and that had just been with a few people, all of whom were close family. He wasn't sure what would happen, and he spent the entire morning in the library, hiding from whatever was taking place in the common room.

Finally, when he had heard that people were starting to arrive, curiosity got the better of him and he packed him things. Stepping into the newly-decorated Slytherin common room, his eyes went wide. All the usual furniture had gone, replaced with green and silver banners , streamers and other things he did not recognize. A huge feast of food and drinks sat at the side of the room.

Making his way through the crowd of people, he looked around, amazed. If this was what a party was like, he was sure enjoying it! His first stop was obviously the food, where he took a plate and filled it with whatever looked good. Moving into a corner of the room, he stood still, watching everyone with growing interest.

The commotion downstairs had Louise closing her advanced transfiguration book and going to investigate. She raised both eyebrows at the look of the common room and wondered why it seemed she was the last to know about these things. She was going to go back upstairs and put up a silencing charm but she clocked Josh on one end of the room and frowned. She hadn't thought he'd be one for parties, of this sort anyway.

She hovered in the stairwell for a moment then decided a few minutes wouldn't do any harm and walked over to him. "Did you plan this? or were the first years just excited about something?" She asked, still trying to figure out why there was a party.

Naturally, Lucy had heard about the party that was going to happen in her common room, so of course she was going to go. Parties were her thing, she didn't plan them (excepting her sixteenth, which she was already planning for the next year), but she attended them. During the holidays, she went to quite a few, still having kept connections with her old muggle friends. She hoped this party was going to be the type she was used to, and not boring. She couldn't stand boring parties.

She'd finished dinner early, and went up to her dorm room to get ready, applying her usual, heavy 'going-out' makeup, curling her hair, and even finding one of her favourite dresses to wear. She loved it because it was a short, formfitting, multicoloured dress, paired with her very high, silver glittery heels, and all dolled up with earrings and bracelets and a chunky necklace. In all honesty, she was a show-off, and she knew it, and she didn't care. She liked looking sexy, and parties were the perfect place to wear the sorts of things she liked.

She made her way back down after she had finished getting ready, taking in the room, very impressed with how it looked. "Looking good," she commented as she sauntered over to the drinks table to look at what was there.

Louise just smiled at the light teasing and nodded when he explained the party. She was only slightly annoyed he hadn't told her before hand and now he was telling her to get changed. "Fine. But I want a word with you later about communication." She warned then left to go change into a dress. She looked about in her trunk and wardrobe for something suitable and found a satin green dress she'd yet to wear and smiled to herself. She left it on her bed and quickly used the shower to freshen up, charming her hair into wavy curls before tying a section up at the back in a silver bow. She looked side to side in the mirror, satisfied with the look she put the dress on, charming the front to stay up so she wouldn't have any wardrobe malfunctions.

She found a pair of strappy heels to wear with it and charmed the black shoes into a darker green with a black sole. One last check, making sure her necklace was still in place around her throat and put her wand int he dress's belt, out of sight but easily reached. Her bare shoulders looked a little strange but there wasn't much to be done about it right now.

She made her way back downstairs to the common room, going a bit slower so as to not trip over her heels and went to find Josh again.

The dress:

It was about time that someone had the bright idea of having a party. Eris loved parties, the music, the mingling, the people who tried too hard, all of it was great. She herself never really needed to try so hard, a simple strapless silver dress, her heels, a flip of her hair, and red lips and she was ready. She looked at herself in the mirror once more before grinning, her red lips accentuating it all the more.

"Perfect" she purred at herself and walked down stairs to the party.

So far, it was dead. There were only a handful of people, none of which she cared for, or ever even notice existed. She sighed, she'd come far too early, because everyone was dressed nicely, but no one really talking. She sauntered over to the couch and sat down, crossing her legs and waiting for things to actually kick off. Briefly thinking that she should have dragged Benjamin here for her entertainment.

At the almost a compliment Louise smiled and curtsied perfectly before standing to his left and looking around the common room. "Could use a few more party goers, wouldn't you say?" She asked, looking to see if she knew anyone in the room. She recognized Tristan but really never spoke to him much, outside herbology.
She couldn't recognize the other girl so looked elsewhere.
