"Whilst I think Professor Faowind was trying to teach you the potion at hand, the man, for some reason, omitted an ingredient to the potion, at the present point, none of you have actually managed to make the potion correctly. Ptolemy is the last ingredient you will all need, or else your potion will fail." . Lucas heard the boy, Josh Murray say while completing the potion, demonstrating to the class how it worked. He watched as the boy sat back down. "Thankyou Mister Murray, and he is correct. The final ingredient is to be added lastly, so if you will please. Once you have completed the potion up to the final stage, let me know and I shall give you the final ingredient so you can try and see if you can make your own Golden Dragon. Also, thankyou Mister Murray, but Ptolemy in its pure form as we are using, is also highly dangerous. If mixed wrongly it can have disastrous affects, which is why I left it off the list of ingredients" Lucas explained. He didn't want anyone in this class to lose an arm, or a leg, which he knew had happened when people had tried to make this potion before.

"Now once you are ready, as I said, with the exclusion of Mister Murray, once you have attempted to turn your Dragon into Gold, please write down your results. Then you may leave with your dragon, if you have any questions please ask. Also can anyone tell me what the transmutation of led into Gold is called?" he asked the class, hoping someone knew the answer apart from Mister Murray. "Once you have tried the potion class will be dismissed" he said, waiting for some people to finish.

The professor seemed to be covering himself, yes Ptolemy was dangerous, but the students weren't stupid enough to not be capable of following the potion instructions. And if they couldn't... well it would serve them right if they got blown up in the chaos.

"Also can anyone tell me what the transmutation of led into Gold is called?"

Josh knew the answer, but he was further than bored with this class so he didn't bother answering. Instead, the boy collected his things, leaving the dragon on the centre of the table, before getting up and crossing the room. He didn't acknowledge anyone as he left, least of all the professor, and was heading off down the stairs before anyone could catch up with him.

"And five points for Gryffindor miss Ahh??"

"Walters, Professor," she replied, giving her last name as was required. He could always find her first name on his student list if he preferred to use their first names. He had continued giving instructions, and she watched in amusement at his interaction with Josh. For someone who got such high grades, he certainly didn't seem to respect his professors.

She copied down what he wrote on the board and got up along with Tristan, and they both gathered their ingredients. She noticed that Josh had taken an extra item, frowning, but decided to follow what was written on the board. Once back at her desk, she tried to make the potion, but mixed up the steps and ruined it. Sighing, she glanced around at Tristan's, glad to see that at least he was doing well.

Professor Faowind had then called up Josh, and she grinned slightly at their interactions. At the mention of the final ingredient, she shrugged to herself, knowing that it wasn't any use, because her potion was not going to work anyway.

Lucas watched as each student did their potion, watching as most of the dragons turned into gold. "Well done" he told everyone. He noticed that the Gryffindor Girl, Miss Walters didn't have much luck. He would discuss it with her after class. "As stated before. 10 points are up for grabs for the student who can tell me what the transmutation of led to gold is, the first student to tell me before next lesson will get the points. Once you have done your potion class is dismissed. There will be no homework, unless you would like to join Mr Murray" he offered the class, dismissing them. "Have a great day, and if you have any questions feel free to ask!" Lucas told his class. Watching as Mr Murray walked out.

Louise finished her diagrams of the potion making and notes, signing her name at the top of the parchment and waited in her seat for the others to file out of the room. She hoped she wouldn't be in too much trouble for not doing the assignment, but if it involved dragons again she would refuse point blank. She wanted nothing to do with the beasts, unless it was just dragon's blood in a potion but that was it.

She kept her head down till she was sure the room had emptied, then looked up at the Professor, not looking too apologetic, more just waiting for either a detention or a different assignment for homework.
