Course title: Stealth and Tracking
Instructor: Louis Clement (Qualifications to teach: Was part of the French Army for fifteen years – achieving the role of Colonel. Has mastered the capabilities of wand-less and non-verbal magic and is highly skilled in duelling. Currently serving in the Auror squad, and as French Ambassador for the British Ministry of Magic.)
Course Duration: 6 – 8 weeks (IRL)
Course aimed towards: Aurors and anyone seeking more experience in the above named areas.
Syllabus: This course will be split in to two parts. First will be an induction in to the best methods of field combat that may be faced in the general operations of the Auror Corps. Signalling, clothing and camouflage will be the main areas of the stealth area of the course, as well as methods of removing enemies where needed. Tracking will be taught in both the Muggle and magical senses to make sure all areas are covered.
The second part of the course will be a field test of the skills learnt, using a scenario to put all skills to the test. Each member will have to show the skills they have learnt to be able to pass the course.
Attendance/Grading: Every portion of this course is compulsory. Students who miss a portion will not be eligible to complete this course. Grading will be done for each member and a form for areas of improvement will be given on completion. A lack of capabilities in the area may lead to the failure of the course.
If anyone should fail first time around, they are capable of retaking the course from the second part. However, if you fail it is recommended you start from the beginning once more.
Outcome: Upon successfully completing this course, each student will receive a Star to add to their Professional Qualification Profile.
