Transfiguration (1st-4th)

Rosalinda really didn't want to start of the year with a lesson this time, she wanted to teach her students something else for once. Basically changing up her schedule a bit. When Rosalinda entered her classroom she couldn't help the smile that came onto her face. She missed this, yes the summer was fun but she liked being able to teach because she loved being able to take her mind off of everything. Rosalinda sighed and wrote 'Animagi' on the board.

Stacy found the Tranfiguration to be intresting class so she decided to take it this year. She soon walked towards the classroom, she hoped that she won't be late or to early. She soon walked into the classroom and saw she was first one. "Hello," she said to professor and took a seat in middle of clasroom.

Walking into yet another classroom, Tristan sighed. Sure, classes had been okay, but he had grossly underrated how exhausting they would be. Still, he had gotten through much worse than this, which is why he decided to still turn up for his first Transfigurations lesson. Sliding into a seat at the very last row, he nodded towards the Professor.

Reading the board, he shrugged to himself. One of the first things he had learnt about his sister was that she was a metamorphmagus, and he personally thought that cooler and more useful than being able to turn into one single animal.

Having enjoyed Transfiguration in the last few years Louise was actually looking forward tot he class and arrived shortly after the first two students and took a seat near the front, her blank expression lifting to a smile seeing what they would be learning about today. She'd read a little about animagi and was fascinated, to be able to shift into an animal at will she had never met a kid who didn't want to be an animal at some point in their lives. She wondered what she would be if she could do it? "Good Morning Professor." She greeted, reaching into her bag for her book and wand.

Transfigurations was an okay subject, in Violet's opinion. She had loved last year, when she had her own little dragon for a bit. That was hectic. It made her re-pick the subject, in hope that maybe all classes were fun like that. She walked into the room, dropping her bag down in her careless fashion and found her seat, giving her signature nod to the teacher as she waited for class to start.

Natasha found Transfiguration very fascinating. Just being able to change the form of things, it was really cool. So, she walked eagerly to class. When she got there, she took her usual seat and saw on the board that they would be learning about Animagi. Perfect. This would be awesome. It was one thing to transform objects, and another to transform oneself.

Skye practically bounced into Transfiguration. This was his favorite and best class. Being a metamorphmagus himself, he seemed to understand transfiguration better.
"Hello!" He said cheerfully to the professor as he sat in the front row. While waiting for class to start he played with his hair color changing between purple, pink, blue, and red. He also changed his eyes from blue to green. Seeing animagus written on the board Skye's excitement doubled.

Rosalinda watched as her classroom piled up with students. Some familiar and others not. Some looked young and they were most likely the first years who were coming for a good lesson. "Hello and welcome back. To those who are knew my name is Rosalinda Reese, call me either Rosalinda or Professor Reese. Now for today our lesson with be on Animagi. Who can tell me what that is?" Rosalinda asked.

Louise's hand shot in the air and before it had stopped she was answering with much enthusiasm. "An animagus is a witch or wizard who can transform into an animal at will, it's difficult and well beyond newt level Transfiguration and so rare that the ministry needs to keep a register of who is an animagus and what their form looks like so they can be found easily." she grinned at her answer and was eager to know more about the process.

After hearing the other girls answer Skye had to add in.
"It is, however different from metamorphmagus's, because animagi can only turn into one animal. Plus they have to work really hard at it, and it tires a wizard out at first." Skye lazily changed his hair color, and eye color, occasionally giving himself kitten ears or dog ears, basically semi flaunting his abilities. After all, what's the fun in hiding them.

Rosalinda watched and listened as both a Slytherin and a Hufflepuff answered her question. They both were correct, Animagus's were completely different from a Metamorphamagus. "Correct both of you, 5 points to both Hufflepuff and Slytherin. Since we cannot transform you all in Animagus's, the lesson today will be to write about it. Write about what kind of Animagus you'd be if you ever got a chance to and tell me why" Rosalinda instructed to her class.

She already knew the sort of animal she'd be/ She'd known for ages, and obviously, when she was old enough, she'd want to learn how to physically become an animagi, and she'd register it with the Ministry. Following her teacher's instructions, Natasha pulled out her parchment and a quill, and wrote-

When I get the chance to be an animagi -there were no if's, it was going to happen I would prefer to be an Eagle. I think that being able to fly, soaring high above everyone would be amazing. Getting a better view of the world, widening my perspective of things, I just think it'd be breathtaking.

When she finished, she signed her name and went to hand it up to the teacher.

Violet immediately knew the animal she'd be. It was so obvious that it was what she was, because a lot of her personality, her shrewdness and even her ability to speak parseltongue, it revolved around snakes. She was almost certain her patronus would be a snake, when she learned to cast it.

She took out her parchment and a quill and began to write A snake. I find that I am very drawn to snakes. she bit her lip as she tried to find something else to write I believe my ability of being able to speak parselmouth, and the typical nature of a snake, its symbolism, I am fitted for it. There's no reason why I shouldn't be one, basically.

It was short and sweet, she wasn't one for elaborating much in her writing.

Skye listened to the asnignment and when everyone else took out paper Skye walked to the teacher.
"Uhm, I'm a metamorphmagus, and I can already turn into an animal, what should I do?"

Not bothering to volunteer any information himself, he listened to the others participate in class, absorbing the information given. He hated to admit it, but he may have been wrong. Being an animagus was almost - but not quite - as fascinating as being a metamorphmagus. Maybe when we was older he would try and become one. He wondered what the steps would be, but that would be a long way away, so he didn't bother to think too much about it.

When Professor Reese told them to begin writing, he didn't move, thinking. What would he be? Frowning, he went through every animal he knew of, finally arriving at one conclusion. Picking up his quill he began.

If I were a animagus, I would be a Tasmanian devil. They look harmless from a destance distence far away. But they are not. They can be scary and ferosios injure people.

He paused, wondering what else he could say. If he had been saying it aloud he would have been fine, but writing was not something he has needed on the streets, and so most of what he once knew was forgotten.

If you go too close to a Tasmanian Devil they will bite you. I am sort of like that because if you get too close me I will get angry.

He didn't know what else he could write, and so, adding his name on the top of the paper, he leaning back in his chair and watched the others. He would wait till someone else handed up before he did the same.

Louise began writing after some thought but paused for a while, not sure what she would like to turn into

"If I were an Animagus I suppose I would like to be something small and fast, maybe flying but I can do that as a human. Or something that can climb easily, like a small monkey or a rabbit. Perhaps something like a mole so I could burrow underground and find treasures."

She looked over her written work and frowned, she really didn't know what she wanted to turn into if she could and wondered what she would be if she tried, it could be a fun project to work on, not this year perhaps she already had enough work.

Her golden eyes looked at the time on her clock and she knew that her class needed to be wrapped up. "For those who had not written anything, that is your homework, write what kind of Animagus you'd be, for those who had written what they wanted to be, please hand it to me and then you can leave. I hope to see you all next time, but for now I must end the class, so goodbye everyone, enjoy the rest of your day" Rosalinda dismissed her class.

Skye watched her end the class, but she hadn't answered his question!
"Uhm, Professor? I-uh- had a question about the homework!" He was half tempted to start changing colors and send that would get her attention, but felt that level of snark and sass was too drastic of a response. For now at least...

Rosalinda looked at the Hufflepuff boy and thought about what he could do since he could technically change when he wanted. "Well Skye you can always write about what you turn into and I shall count it towards your grade. Hand it into next week when you come back for class alright" Rosalinda answered him.

"Okay," Skye shrugged, it seemed easy enough, and Slye could have fun morphing an call it homework.
With that thought in mind, Skye packed his bag and figured he would see if Brooke wanted to join him in morphing.
