Happy Birthday to me ( Diem)

Cody decided that he was going to spend his birthday at the three broomsticks. Tessa agreed to watch the twins for him. It was not the best for him, since Klay was dead. And he knew that there really wasn't any dating in his future. He couldn't believe that he was already twenty. He already owned Honeydukes and he was a father to two beautiful girls. But he knew that life could get worse, but there was times when he thought that he was on rock bottom. And it was Summer and Winter that got him through it. Cody knew that when he moved to England, nobody would now him. Azalea was still at Salem. She was the only person that he got along with. And it was because she was a nightshade.

Cody then ordered him a firewhiskey and was thinking about how alone he really was. And it was because Klay was dead.

Diem really wanted a butterbeer and she was already in England so she could get some of her supplies and it was also good that Kira needed too get some things for her classes which left Diem to go roam around. She entered the Three broomsticks and had to admit it was actually really nice in there. She was naturally from Spain, but lived in America for school. The brunette wasn't watching where she was going because she tripped over a chair and fell. Diem quickly got back up and readjusted her bag that she had on her left arm and went too the counter too order a butterbeer.

"One butterbeer please" she ordered kindly.

Cody then looked over and seen someone ordering a butterbeer. He could tell that she was a nightshade. That was his house when he was at Salem. Cody knew that he was getting better with things. Before he was mean around everybody expect his fellow nightshades in school. But Klay and well now his girls were bringing out the good part of him. Summer and Winter changed everything and he would never give them up. Cody noticed that she tripped before she came up.

“ Hey I seen that you tripped, are you alright?” He could tell that she was a spanish beauty.

When she was handed her butterbeer, she thanked the man who had given her, her order. Diem took a small sip before someone asked her if she was alright because they had seen her trip. Diem felt a little embarrassed. "Oh, uh yes I am, I was really hoping that I could have played that off, but apparently not" Diem couldn't help but laugh a little. "I'm Diem Malik by the way."

Cody then was smiling and laughed a little when she said that she was going to play it off. “ Don't worry about it. I know that I trip over a lot of things, mostly toys.” Cody then should explain that one, because he was young. “ I have twin girls, there other father went missing.” But he was listening to her as she was laughing. And he was loving it. “ I am Cody Baxter.”

When he said that he trips over a lot and that it was mostly toys. The brunette was confused until he explained that he had children. Diem was a little taken back by that, she didn't expect him too have children but who was she to judge? When he also said that the other father went missing, she nodded. "So you have daughters and you're into men? That is cool. I love kids, they're fun to be around" Diem smiled. When he introduced himself, she grinned. "Nice too meet you Cody."

Cody knew that sounded bad. “ Yes I have to beautiful daughters, Summer and Winter.” He then was going to have to explain the next part. He really didn't know how to explain Klay to her. “ Yeah Klay and I were dating and realize that we wanted kids. Well the twins were born and he went missing. I moved to England to start a new life with them. I even own Honeydukes.” He smiled when she said that she loved kids. “ Nice to meet you too Diem.”

When Cody said the names of his two daughters, she had to admit they were beautiful names. Winter was very unique an Summer was a common name but still gorgeous nevertheless. "They are beautiful names Cody" Diem honestly said. They sounded like they were adorable. The names gave that away. "Aw, well I am sorry for the loss" the brunette apologized.

Cody was proud of his two girls. Even if that meant that he was a single father. He wouldn't trade Summer or Winter for anything. Cody smiled as Diem said that they had beautiful names. “ Thank you. I know I wanted something different than normal names for girls. And since they where twins we thought Summer and Winter would be cute.” He then sighed when she said that she was sorry for his loss. But he gave a weak smile. “ Thank you I know my girls are the only way I can get through it.”

Summer and Winter were unique and beautiful names. Summer may be found around occasionally but Winter not so much. A pet maybe but not a person. "No, you did the right thing in picking those names, no one will really have those names when they grow up and if someone does then that just means those names are making a come back" Diem replied. The brunette felt bad for Cody, he didn't deserve to lose someone, especially not when he had kids. "Hopefully you'll find that someone who can make you happy again" Diem said confidently.

Cody smiled when he heard Diem say that he picked out the right names. “ Yeah well Summer looks like me and Winter looks like Klay. I can tell that she is going to get his black hair and she has his blue eyes.” When he would see the girls it reminded him how happy he was and it was taken away. But know he was happy for another reason. “ I am sure that I will find someone again. I mean I can't stay lonely forever.”

When Cody told her which daughter looked like who, she nodded. Diem thought that was adorable, Diem didn't know if she knew a Klay, but she'd take what she could get from Cody. "They both sound like they're going to be the girls who break the boys hearts" Diem smiled. They both sounded beautiful. "Yes, you deserve to live a happy life and you will when you find that someone."

Cody then smiled as she said that his girls where going to break boys hearts. “ Oh I think that I will break them if they hurt my little girls.” He knew one day they was going to grow up but they would always be his babies. Both Summer and Winter was beautiful and he was sure that he wasn't think that because they where his. “ I am sure that one day I shall find happiness, but for know I am just focusing on my two girls.”

Diem couldn't help but laugh at the normal behavior that fathers seemed to have, her own father was protective of her and it was normal for their fathers. Diem giggled. "That is normal for a father and a brother but since they're both girls they will just have you" Diem exclaimed. When Cody said how he was focusing on his two girls, she smiled at that. "That is wonderful. If you ever need a babysitter, I can do" Diem offered.

Cody then was laughing when she said that was a normal father thing. “ Oh I am sure that there is some Nightshades that would hurt the boy that hurt them. I know Azalea wouldn't let anything happen to her two god children.” He then heard that she said if he ever needed a babysitter. “ I might have to take you up on that. There are times where I just want to get away from them. And I know that it is good for them to get used to being around others.”

Diem was a little shocked to hear that he had gone to Salem. "You went to Salem?" She asked. "Azalea is a great Professor, you picked the right person for the job" Diem exclaimed. Azalea seemed really responsible and it was a good quality to have. When Cody told her that he might have to take her up on that, Diem smiled. "Well just let me know and if you need help finding me, you'll find me through Azalea, I am a student of hers or you can send me an owl and let you go out and have fun" Diem replied. The brunette loved to babysit kids.

Cody then started to chuckle. “ Yes I went to Salem and was in nightshade. And I was there with Azelea was in the same house.” He then listened to her as he told her if he need to to just find her through Azalea. “ I can send you an owl or go through Azalea, which ever is easier.” Cody hadn't really had a night since the girls where born. “ Yeah I was lucky that I was able to come today. Tessa Grey who owns this place is watching them for me.”

Diem was surprised how she was hearing this, she didn't expect Cody to have both went to Salem and was in Nightshade. "That's awesome, I go there as well, I am also in Nightshade too. I got transferred over to Salem. I originally went to Lugarmago until it... burnt down" Diem still was sad over the fire. It was the day both her parents died. When he brought up sending an owl, she nodded. "Great, whichever you want" Diem replied. "Well that's good."

Cody then seen how she was upset over the fire. It was something that he didn't want to bring up. “ I am sorry about her lost. At least you got to know your parents. Mine gave me up and I lived in an orphanage till I went to school. And then the only people that I cared about were my fellow nightshade and Klayton.” But he smiled when she said that she would take the girls and seemed excited. “ I will owl you when I would like a free night.”

When Cody said how he was sorry for her loss and had to deal with growing up not knowing who you really were and got stuck only with fellow Nightshades and someone you loved that was no longer with you. "Thank you Cody, it means a lot" Diem nodded to him. He didn't know what had happened but she did and it haunted her. "Okay."

Cody was smiling as he was listening to her talk. “ Well I will have to owl you because I really should be getting back to the girls.” He knew that he would love to stay and chat with her. “ Maybe when I take the girls to visit Azalea I will be able to see you again.”

Diem continued to drink her Butterbeer and continued to have a conversation with Cody, he sounded like a good guy and a good father. "I will be waiting for that Owl and I hope you do stop by, I have to go right now, I must go find my mother, but I hope to see you soon Cody and I can't wait to meet your girls" Diem paid for her drink and took her leave but not before she smiled and sent a wave to Cody.
