| Pureblood IndexPure-blood is the term for wizards and witches who have a purely or approximately pure magical heritage. They are conservative and stick to the values of their ancestors, rarely budging. There are no muggles in their family trees (usually) and the older they are the purer their blood is. Some do retain some muggle ancestors purely for procreation. Purebloods are all related at some point in their family tree, but usually distant.
Starting this game onward, if you wish to take part of the Pureblood Claim, make sure that you remember the following. Traditionalist pure-bloods like to keep the generations "pure" by breeding with other pure-bloods. A pureblooded family that uses technology or anything muggle related is a blood traitor and is seen lesser by the older families. Usually marriages are a union between families and children have little choice.
Also in creating a pureblood family, it is important that you MUST have some sort of relation to the families below. (If you have any questions please message me.) They are the families who you can connect with (aside from the canon family names). If you choose to be a pureblood, please contact the family handler below, and ask if you can. Take into considering some do not wish to have more connections, and please respect their wishes. To become a pureblood and be part of this list please have a backstory of your family, (there are many examples below) and please make it as thorough as possible. If you need help, please don't hesitate to talk to the HaF team, and we will happily help you achieve your backstory. Please Look At: Pureblood Handbook
Below are the families, take the time and know which is the best fit to the backstory you wish to do. And have fun with it :
ABCCapulet, Artemis, Rhea & Theseus - Spoiler:
Family History:The Capulets date back to 1594. They have always been in France even though the family was branching off. The Capulets always decided to stay neutral in the wars. And they knew how to take care of there own. The current Capulet children never really had to work and that was because there was the family money. Sometimes there would be intermarriages. After a while they were seeing defects and decided to marry outside of their own.

Family History: The Dourse family originate from England and can be traced back to the 1500s. The Dourse family are a family who don't look down on Muggles but don't want anything to do with them either. The Dourse children are used to the normality of high society which means they do not have to work. However, the Dourse family are known for their hobby of buying business and earning plenty of money from such activity, even if they don't personally run the who thing. Also, like any Pureblood they like to make sure that there line is clean, even if their relations to the Grey family have left them in a somewhat compromised position.

Is Your family open to Connections: Yes EFFawn, Sage - Spoiler:
Family History: The Fawn family dates back to England in the 16th century. They've always have been very cautious in most ministry related matters. Fawn's usually end up being more neutral in times of war or the family tends to split apart for both sides. The Fawn family has never been as tight as other pureblood families thus making the family wary of their own. The Fawn family has a very wide range of skills. They've had sporty Quidditch players to nerdy researchers. This has made it harder for certain Fawn family members to get along. One famous quarrel was between twin brothers Christor and Jared. It was a fight over if brain is better then brawn. It ended only when Jared killed his brother in a dual and made brawn win for the time being. During the second wizarding war the Fawn family was fairly neutral except for a few people on Voldemort's side. ♛Fletcher, Chara - Spoiler:
Family History: The Fletcher family is a relatively new pureblood, with records starting around the 16th century. A marriage between a male Fletcher and a Blanc was the start of their growth. They were ruthless and insistent on power, and it was no surprise when they quickly rose to a position of extreme power. Unfortunately, a mishap with one of their members and a half-blood marriage somewhere along the 18th century proved to be their downfall. A few days after she was disowned, the disgraced Fletcher went missing along with her husband. They were never found, and the rumours started. Since then, the Fletcher family has been working hard to regain their former glory. It is unknown how they got their fortune, although it has been said that it involved illicit means on the behalf of the much earlier generations. Whatever the case, modern-day Fletchers maintained their living through the mundaneness of office work, placing their wealth in stocks and property. There were those who chose to work in the Ministry of Magic, holding high positions before retiring and settling down. Of course, these were normally the male figures, as the females did their own duty of marrying, as required. Family History: Both the Harper and the Conrad familes can trace their lineage through predominate families in the American South. Probably even a bit further to the settlers that originally settled the Americas. For generations the two familes have worked in close quarters with one another having similar outlooks and family philosophies. The Conrads have always been the producers; the craftsmen, the engineers, the farmers while the Hapers have focused on the buisness and sales aspect of things. In tandem the familes have a fairly large commercial trade empire that spans from Louisiana to Nevada and a bit into Mexico. Despite being partners for years their had never been a union between the two until recentlyofficially bridging the two powerhouses together.

Harrington, Azalea - Spoiler:
Family History: The Harrington’s originally started out as Harrington-Royces who trace their origin back to the fourteenth century English empire. The Harringtons and Royces were joined in an abundance of intermarriage that sealed the two clans together both in terms of family and wealth. Their primary source of income were their lands which in addition to yielding good crops through the serfs that worked them, were also rich in minerals. By the sixteenth century however, the family became more notorious for investment banking and forging international relationships. It is rumored that a large part of their business was funded initially by Pathan nobility, one of which was married into the clan to seal the deal. One of the first pureblooded families to venture into such a business, the Harrington-Royces turned gold into documents and amassed untold wealth through this practice. However, the goblin rebellion resulted in severe repercussions for the family, dividing them in half. The half that chose to move to America and build a new world and the half that chose to remain in England and take care of their properties there. The ones who moved to the New World dropped the name “Royce” and now traditionally stick with just “Harrington” while the ones in England go by only “Royce” now.

The original Harrisson Family was full of Drunkards and fools alongside Noblemen and Scholars. The family often quarreled within itself, but always made peace along the lines. Not much else is known of the Harrisson family asside from the fact that they were accepting of all despite blood status.

♛ Holmes, Mycroft, Tess, Rhian (Adopted), Marie - Spoiler:
Family History:The Holmes family date back as early as the beginning of the 15th century in France. Their origins come from the family "Holm", who found that magic was in them, but found that the black plague had killed all it's original founding members and left only a few in the outskirts of a muggle world. If magic did not protect them from a horrible death, than how were they better than muggles? They intermarried to a family named Song and found themselves in a halfblood relationship that caused them to hide their origins and see magic as a mistake. Many were cast out and found to be undesirables. These outcasts were forced to enter the Magic world once more and found a new name for themselves. After their wands were made from Holly trees that they resided near the family "Holmes" bore it's name in the midst of the 15th century. The family there began at the very bottom, seen many as the unknown. But after the witch hunts all over England, they found themselves to be married up the social latter that was purely accidental. Their muggle equivalent families rose within the muggle world, but their split was permanent In the magical world they were most definitely new money, in the sense that they rose up the social latter within one generation thanks to Amorette Lennon marrying Joseph Holmes many years back. By the eighteenth century they were a force to be reckoned with, being big in their governmental work. Many were seen a brave Aurors or intellectuals who became scholars and/or analyst within the ministry. By the time of the first war, they were seen in the community being as active as possible. They worked their way into being themselves as equals to other purebloods because after their first form of separation they now strictly married within their own community. They try to shy away from their real history and if there is a "Holmes", "Holm" or "Song" in the muggle community they are not recognized. Their expectations are of success and they've never looked back since their ascent to their social level. They are adamant of not looking tho their past but they can't seem to shake off some of the oldest families from judging the for being "new pureblood". Hunt, Callum - Spoiler:
Motto: Strength through Honour
The Hunt family date back to the 16th century, perhaps further, though the history gets hazy before that, due to plenty of fights over inheritance beforehand. They originate from England, though the family migrated to the United States during the late 18th century, finding America to be far more favourable than England. Each generation of the family has attended Salem since. There has only been one incident of disownment when one member of the family (that is known), Rosalind Hunt (from William and Elizabeth Hunt, she was one of five siblings, including Walter, Charles, Marlene and Mary), in the late 19th century, blatantly shamed herself and ran away back to England with a muggle man with the name of Lincoln Stonem. The ‘honorable’ Hunts refuse any sort of acknowledgement of them at all.
Their primary source of income was originally leasing large amounts of land. The Hunts also have a large inheritance that is only touched in financial difficulty. In modern times, the Hunts live in luxury in Alabama, and own large estates through which they lease to farmers for produce and income. The family was largely influential in politics, not so much anymore due to their old values.
Connection to other families: The Harrington branch of the Harrington-Royce family. The Hunts became allies with the Harringtons upon their immigration to America, leading to some inter-marriages among the family.
Open to Connection: Yes IJJaymes, Charlie - Spoiler:
Family History:The Jaymes family is from the 15th century. They came from a small town in France and traveled their way to America where they decided to settle down and start a family. Family History:The Lee family can be traced back to the 12th Century in China. They've made connections all through Asia, upholding the tradition and honor. Members of the family have served various Emperors through History. The Lee's have been known to be cunning, clever and conniving, always working in their best interest.
They have tried very hard to maintain such an image and if there was anyone in the family that showed weaknesses, they were disowned. They only interacted with people below their rank if there was a need to use those people for their own gain. All through history, they did their best to avoid dealing with Muggles and Muggleborns and when they absolutely couldn't avoid it, they denied it ever happened.
They've always been very proud and ruthless to anyone who crosses their path. Even so, the younger generations have been known to be slightly more forgiving and better human beings, though they still have a long way to go to be considered 'nice'.

Lestrange, Dominus - Spoiler:
Family History: The O'Briens are a well-known Irish Pureblood Family, though what they were known for wasn't the typical breed of Wand-Waving Magic, but rather for powerful Fire Elemental Magic. The O'Briens have a long, sordid history in Ireland, often being referred to as the 'Fire Devil' O'Briens, because back in their history, they were usually either infamous arsonists and terrorists, or they were avid servants of Dark Lord and Dark Ladies. Either way, they used their powerful Fire Elemental abilities to do great harm to those around them. They are a family that has been around for about six hundred years, and is one of Ireland's wealthiest families. The O'Briens have a dark secret, and that secret is that they get their powerful Fire Elemental abilities from their relation with a powerful Fire Demon, who laid with their female ancestor far in the past. Naturally, this is something they keep secret, since they could be held under scrutiny.

Family History. The Shadowbane family was originally the Stenwulf family, changing their name in the early 1800's, they came from Ireland in the 1200's, though there are some unverified sources stating even earlier records of the family. The Shadowbane family are exclusively pureblooded, known for kicking out and disowning the Squibs in the family and the unfortunate souls that fell in love with the Muggleborns born with magic.
The Shadowbane family, like all families have their own dark secrets, many throughout the family have dabbled in the Dark Arts, some have been brilliantly talented to the point the were driven insane, and others have had unusual gifts which they kept hidden brilliantly. The Shadowbane name has been loved and hated since it began, all Shadowbane's are expected to be in Slytherin, or rarely, in fact only a few recorded cases of family members have been in Ravenclaw. These family members went on to be brilliant, mentally. They kept up the family name and honour by proving their brilliance.
The Shadowbanes demand greatness, either by cunningness, or brilliance. They also demand purity, with some being extreme in this sense, often disliking and sometimes even killing anyone they deemed anyone less than pure-blooded. Many Shadowbanes have been in the Ministry using their cunningness as their weapon. Some Shadowbane's have gone on to be Healer's, and others have gone on to be well respected Teacher's, Lectures, or Aurors.
